Sony invited my son and I to the Peter Rabbit press junket in LA and partnered with Build a Bear so we could create our own Peter Rabbit Build-a-Bear bunnies.
Peter Rabbit is now available at Build-a-Bear and he is so adorable. He has quickly become my son’s new favorite stuffed animal. He takes his Build-A-Bear Peter Rabbit to bed every night.
This new Peter Rabbit doll can be made with a 5-in-1 Phrases button in his paw. It seems like every time I push it, he says, “Have you seen Mr. McGreggor?” My son says that’s because he likes to push the button a lot.
Build-A-Bear is such a fun experience. We’ve been a few times over the years making bears. SO what you do, is you pick out the type of bear you want to make, and in this example you should pick the bunny. Peter Rabbit that is, in celebration of his moving coming out this month (February 9th).
Then you pick up one of the sound pieces and make sure it’s in his hand.
After that he gets stuffed. That’s my favorite part because you can pick how stuffed you want him. I like them a little less stuffed so they are more cuddly. Then you put a heart in it, they sew him up and you can pick out some clothes. This particular bunny has two outfits created just for him. His Blue jacket and his pajamas. Both of the Peter Rabbit outfits are super cute. It was hard not to get both outfits.
Oh before you leave the store you have to give him a name and print out a birth certificate. The movie is adorable too and you should go out and see it now!
Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne). James Corden voices the character of Peter with playful spirit and wild charm, with Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley performing the voice roles of the triplets, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
