Disney provided hotel and transportation to LA for the Ant-Man And the Wasp Press Event. At this event we interviewed Paul Rudd and noticed how Paul Rudd never ages or runs out of charm. I’m always impressed with how much energy Paul Rudd has whenever we interview him. So, I know you’re just dying to hear what Paul Rudd has to Say about Infinity War and the future of Ant-Man and The Wasp.
We asked Paul Rudd a lot of questions about Ant-Man And The Wasp and he had a lot of answers, we also asked him about what’s next with Infinity War and he didn’t have so many answers. but I want to share with you some of the Best Paul Rudd Quotes from our interview and of course the context behind them.
Paul Rudd Quotes
His work on Ant-Man And the Wasp
Hahahah, no that’s not all he said. He said he loves his work and the result of this movie. He said it was a “unique feeling” and it’s “exciting”.
“the experience of it, has been nothing but fun, hard work but really enjoyable.”
We talked to Paul Rudd about co-writing the script of Ant-Man and The Wasp and he talked about how it was pretty easy because the characters were established and he could “lean into” the comedy and that people will go along with it.
I like working with kids because you don’t really know what they’re going to do and you just kind of go off of what they’re doing and if you can establish a relationship outside of the filmmaking, just hanging around set, it’s- it can be really fun to film scenes with kids.
So there is a scene in the movie that you are going to love! I mean love and it has to do with Scott Lang and Michell’s Pfeifer’s character, Janet Van Dyne. Scott is hilarious and people wanted to know if he studied Michelle or not. Without being akward he did.
I have subconsciously studied Michelle Pfeiffer. But there was a certain point where I said well this might just get creepy if I….no go ahead…no just go about your day, Michelle, I’m just observing you.
And yes he did like working with her. He’s worked with her before and said this…
she was a very-very sweet person. Very smart. Very funny in ways I think people might not know. ……….. yeah she’s very wry and she’s got a real stealthy cool sense of humor
One of the movie themes is so focused on family and how Ant-Man is a dad first. Paul Rudd says that he told his daughter that she is the real Cassie and that there are nods in the move that he says are just for her. I LOVE that.
On The Ant-Man and The Wasp Co-Stars
this has turned into a love fest for sure.
It’s such a thrill when you get to work with legends and certainly he and Michelle and Laurence Fishburne I feel like oh they’re really- they’re making this legitimate.
Paul went on to talk about how much he admires Michael Douglas using words like such “Gravitas” and “easy going”. He said that appreciates him as an actor and even more as a guy, as a friend. They are close enough now they can talk about life stuff, sports and family.
I feel like, I feel like we’ve become friends which is still baffling to me, that I can say he would be a friend. But I really- I just really-really love the guy.
Two final things, One you MUST stay for that final scene and Paul had things to say about the final scene. The only thing I can tell you for now, is that he did say this and I quote…..
all I can say is I so want this to remain as secretive as possible for as long as possible
