Last week, I attended the American Express Dinner on the 50. This is the kick off event of a season long partnership with American Express and the Seattle Seahawks fans. American Express card holder members have certain perks, access to events suck as Dinner on the 50 and Hawk Island.
Dinner on the 50 started off with meeting the actual hawk, Taima whose name means thunder in Native American. This bird is part of every home game as part of the kick off/start of the game.
Then we walked onto the field in the same fashion that the Seahawks get to enter the field when they play, through the Seahawks Tunnel. Walking onto the filed is an amazing and surreal feeling. It reminded me of how excited I would get when I marched on the Dallas Cowboys field when I was in high school. It’s really a difficult feeling to express the magnitude of the feeling.
They served amazing appetizers, sushi, cheese plates, sausages, and capresse salad on a stick. While everyone was eating appetizers we took our picture with The Lombardi Trophy and Blitz.
People could also try to make a field goal, and pass footballs on the field. We sat down for dinner and were served some pretty amazing food.
During dinner we had an interview with Seattle Seahawks Cliff Avril and Bobby Wagner. They were pretty funny, the interview seemed off the rails but I loved how much fun they were having with the fans. They took a lot of selfies and answered some weird questions with great attitudes.
We also had other dining entertainment such as performances from the Blue Thunder and The Seagals. It was a fantastic night full of excitement. These super fans that were able to get these tickets seemed to all feel the same kinetic energy for the Seahawks. The tickets sold out in less than 30 minutes. I’ll be sure to continue coverage of what American Express is doing with the Seattle Seahawks this Football season. Here are more photos from the event.
Wow. this seems a good event and the food looks delicious.
