ABC has some really great programming going on right now with some great family friendly comedies. Black-ish is one of those great shows you can sit down as a family and watch. “Black-ish” stars Anthony Anderson as Andre “Dre” Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson, Jr., Miles Brown as Jack Johnson, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson and Laurence Fishburne as Pops. While I was in LA I was able to visit the set of this fantastic comedy. Black-ish has a very large set. I was really impressed with how spacious it was. I’ve been on some sets that are so small. This set is large and still every wall is easily removed for camera placement. The hallways are large enough for cameras to roll through and the kitchen is the size anyone dreams of having. The set lights were off so some of my pictures are a little dark but I’m sharing them with you anyway.
While I was in the kitchen I helped myself to a box of cereal. There were M&M’s on the counter too. They snack on those in between takes some times.
Some of the crew like to rest on the furniture around the house so the bed has a sign on it asking the crew to keep off the bed.
If you’ve seen the show you know that someone has a thing for shoes!
This is a photo of one of those very large hallways.
Here is a picture of the living room.
I love all the detail in every room and hallway.
The kids bedroom was beautiful.
And here is their back yard / patio.
Tune In to ABC For Black-ish Wednesdays 9:30/8:30 Central.
POPS AND RUBY TRY TO SHOW THE KIDS THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS BY PARING DOWN GIFTS AND SPENDING MORE TIME TOGETHER, AND DAPHNE LIDO INVITES HERSELF OVER TO CELEBRATE WITH THE JOHNSONS, ON ABC’S “black-ish”
“Stuff” – Dre thinks Christmas has become commercialized and is all about “stuff,” and no one loves “stuff” more than his kids. Pops and Ruby think they have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and come up with a new plan to pare down gifts and spend more time together. The kids don’t handle the news well and hope that if they put on their best behavior Dre and Bow will cave in. Meanwhile, Daphne Lido (played by Wanda Sykes), who is single for her first holiday alone, invites herself to the Johnson family home to celebrate with them, on “black-ish,” WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Guest starring is Jenifer Lewis as Ruby, Wanda Sykes as Daphne Lido, Peter Mackenzie as Mr. Stevens, Catherine Reitman as Lucy and Issac Ryan Brown as Young Dre.
