Organized For Easter
There are so many things to think about when preparing for any holiday or event. From the decorations to the food, the children’s clothing to the party favors, it’s almost too much for one person to do, and I almost always forget something. Lucky for me, (and hopefully you too), I came across an inspiration board recently and its helped me organize, visualize and prepare myself without forgetting the small details. Making an inspiration board is also simple, free and most importantly fun! Inspiration can come from anywhere, and be used for anything, this time I chose to use an inspiration board to get organized for Easter!
In my family, we celebrate Easter with brunch and I simply love it. All of my favorite foods in one delicious meal! From the cinnamon rolls to the deviled eggs there’s plenty to go around! However, I wanted to make sure I had a few other things prepared for Easter other than just the food, since everyone brings a dish to pass any way!
I knew I wanted to have a name card for each place setting, a great hostess outfit, beautiful spring flowers for decoration and a taste brunch cocktail for my family to sip on. So, I turned to the Internet, and Pinterest – obviously! I found some great photos that helped me organize my planning and let me visualize what the day will look like. Here’s what I came up with!
I knew I wanted my theme to be chic pastels with a flare of modern and brights. These place cards, from a wedding at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino are absolutely perfect. Simple to make, classy and fit right it with my theme!
I also found some great DIY burlap placemats, affordable and reusable! To complete the table decor I found this eye catching floral arrangement from Specs and Wings that will be inspiration for the perfect pop of color!
Since I was already going to make burlap placemats, when I saw the burlap banner I just knew I had to make that as well! It will look great hanging in front of or above the food table.
As for the cocktails I told you I must have, I found this great recipe for a Mimosa. I’m sure everyone (21 and over) will enjoy them!
Top it all off I found this lovely mint colored peplum dress that will be perfect for Easter Sunday.
As you can see I was able to pull all of these little inspirations to create my perfect Easter brunch. It’s always a good idea to keep not just the photos, but also a reference to where you found the photo, (whether it was online or offline). You can also include things like, price, quantity and size on your inspiration board. The inspiration board is yours to create. I’m sure you will love it like I do once you get started!
