OMG My Kids are killing me, The Not So Wordless Wednesday

December 8, 2009 by Momstart 32 Comments

They say that laughter is the best medicine. They never had surgery.

The Princess:

The Ham:

My children are making me laugh my stitches apart. It hurts so much to laugh. I have to hold a pillow and look away from my kids right now because they make me laugh so hard. My muscles are sore from laughing.

They care so much for me and are trying to make me feel better. My daughter loaded me up with toys and said, “Mommy, these will make you feel better”

My son, is making faces at me and last night he followed me into the bath room and was playing peek a boo from around the door. He would give me his cheesey photo grin in between batting his handsome eyes at me.

Yesterday my daughter was playing with her brother and she said, “I love my bubby, I don’t bite him or beat him”

As an update on me:

I am so out of it. I only took one pain pill today and I slept all day. I didn’t open my computer until lunch time and then I fell asleep with the computer in my lap. I slept for two or three hours and still want more. My lucidity is still quite questionable and I probably shouldn’t be posting but here I am loving my kids and wishing it didn’t hurt to laugh.

Such sweet kids! I love what your daughter said about her brother. I hated not being able to laugh after my surgeries.. it’s hard to laugh and cry at the same time. LOL
I hope you recover quickly. *hugs*

take from the zipper kid (me)…laughter is good for you! it changes the chemicals in your body to healing kind…so just hang on to your pillow and keep laughing. as far as sleep is concern, that is good for you too! WARNING! WHEN WALKING, MAKE SURE YOU STAND UP STRAIGHT! why, because if you don’t you will later have to strrech out your scar…more pain! so do it right from the start! says she with 5 abdomical surgeries behind her (ok, in front)…besides that, if you don’t stand up straight, your back will start bitching at you…it wants you to be straight! get everyone involved…make them tell you when you are not! you will love me for this advice in the future!

SLEEP, you need it. You’ll be back in the game before you know it and feel better. It’ll all make you a better mom and that’s why you did it. Hang in there, not much will change in the few weeks you heal. And if you don’t allow this time then the recovery will take longer. Just try to NOT LAUGH and recover fully so you can be the mom you want to sooner rather than later. [HUGS]–only on the computer because in person they might hurt you …
