Every month LifeLock shares different topic ideas with me to share with you and one of them this month was about National Crime Prevention month. I had no idea that October was National Crime Prevention month. I’m in a very new neighborhood and when we moved in we had constant offers for a home security system. I never felt the need to have my house protected, we know all our neighbors, we’re often outside and we know what everyone’s cars look like. We all notice when a car we don’t recognize is in the neighborhood and you see how parent’s heads are all raised differently as we’re watching.
Recently, other neighborhoods in our vicinity have been targeted by burglars. For the first time in years I feel vulnerable and worried. We’re even thinking of getting a home security system. We’re going back and fourth on it because it’s going to be a new expense and we just want to make sure it’s the right decision for our family. We’re also thinking about ramping up what we do to stay safe. We are making sure the doors are locked even if we’re just walking down the street or over to the park across the street. We are not leaving our kids in the driveway in the car alone, even for a few seconds. It’s just not worth the risk. I also just want to get the signs and stickers and pass them out to the entire neighborhood. Getting the actual surveillance would be nice though too.
That’s what’s nice about LifeLock. With LifeLock I have acces to 24/7 online TransUnion credit score, surveillance of unregulated global networks and file-sharing sites and daily monitoring of all three Credit bureau reports. Plus a few more perks like checking and savings account application alerts. LifeLock helps me to feel that my identity is safe and sound.
