Today is the day you can watch Muppets Most Wanted. I can honestly tell you that I’ve seen it three times and I would be more than happy to go again. I LOVED it. Muppets Most Wanted is the story about a frog, and a pig and how they almost get married. No no no no no that’s not what it’s about. It’s a sequel to The Muppets and as the Muppets is famous for cameos and poking fun at pop culture they’re not ashamed of making fun of themselves. One of the songs in the movie is about making a sequel and don’t worry, they know it’s not as good as the first. But in my opinion, I liked it more than the first.
Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
The actual story; Kermit is set up by Constantine. He places a mole on Kermit and then disappears. The authorities find Kermit and throw him in prison where he meets Nadia (Tina Fey) and they have a musical adventure together while Constantine infiltrates The Muppets posing as Kermit. How he pulls that off is beyond me but it made me giggle a lot.
Miss Piggy was completely fool by Constantine and when he proposed she said yes. After she said yes she thought about it a lot and while she was contemplating the fact that someone was off she had a duet with Celine Dion. It was one of my favorite parts in the movie. I love both Miss Piggy and Celine.
Overall, it’s a must see. It’s a great family film filled with humor for the whole family.
