Mack and I are proud parents to two vivacious 2-yr old girls Moira and Abbey.
They are our beloved fur baby dog children, before the human kind comes along. On the pet parent spectrum we fall somewhere between the ‘dogs with diamond collars’ type and the ‘fido the farm dog just brought us a dead bird!’. We love our girls far beyond the ‘animal’ level but we still know they are dogs with dog needs. I myself have been a part of a Milk-Bone® family all my life. In fact I grew up calling dog biscuits Milk-Bones. We were thrilled to hear about Milk-Bone’s newest Milk-Bone® Brushing ChewsTMto help keep our girl’s smiles nice and bright.
We have tried the brushing and the gels and to be honest they pretty much hated all that. I know we are supposed to be disciplined dog parents and get them used to brushing from their puppy years, but that just didn’t end up happening. So first thing first, would our dogs actually go for these? We called them over and they awaited their treat anxiously:
So far so good! These treats actually smell like the dog jerky competitors so we were already thinking this would be an easy sell. The bones themselves are slightly twisted with creative little nubs over them or extra scrubby power.
Moira and Abbey gave the new Milk-Bones two paws up! Very tasty, may I have another please Mom! I am happy to say that we have been using our once daily Milk-Bone® Brushing ChewsTM ‘treats’ regularly for almost a month now and Moira especially is even more kissable with sparkly white chompers. The back slight tartar from their molars is completely gone (sorry the girls refused tooth photos, only glamor shots-after all they are ladies). I was quite surprised that something that smells like beef jerky could not only clean but improve puppy kisses. Milk-Bone of course has done some pretty awesome research to back up their as effective as twice per week brushing. They have earned the Veterinary Oral Health Council’s Seal of Acceptance, which is similar to the American Dental Association (ADA) seal seen on human dental products. Our household will continue to be a Milk-Bone® home along with Brushing ChewsTM to keep our girl’s smiles bright and happy. We can’t wait to see what they will come up with next!
