Miles Laughs and Loves Stinky the Matchbox Garbage Truck

Matchbox® is set to put the jolly into gift-giving this season with Stinky The Garbage Truck™ — the newest addition to the renowned collection of adventurous, innovative toys that capture boys’ heroic imaginations.

Stinky the Garbage Truck retails for 59.99 and at first I’m thinking that’s expensive for a toy for a little boy. Well, when you consider Christmas it’s not so expensive. But also, check out what all Stinky The Garbage Truck and do and he comes with a cartoon series on DVD.

On the heels of last season’s award-winning Rocky the Robot Truck is the new larger-than-life interactive truck that breaks new ground in vehicle play, Stinky The Garbage Truck™! Packed with loads of personality, Stinky is sure to be every boy’s best friend, providing hours of talking, singing and joke-telling entertainment.

Features of Matchbox Stinky the Garbage Truck:

  • Sound Activation
  • Motion Sensor
  • Direction Sensor
  • Container Sensor
  • Belly Sensor
  • Speakers and Motorized Movement

IMG_5546Stinky the Garbage Truck delights Miles. He could hardly wait for us to get him out of the package. Then when we did he set to playing with him right away. He didn’t need any help figuring out that his other cars could fit inside of Stinky. Stinky is part of the Big Rig Buddies and there is a Stinky and Pals DVD included with Stinky the Garbage Truck. Zoe and Miles both liked the DVD. There were a few different episodes. In one there was a lesson about telling the truth, and I got a kick out of it because it actually taught a lesson. So many cartoons now don’t even teach right from wrong, what is wrong with the world? Cartoons aren’t teaching anymore, so I’m happy that Matchbox had the decency to put in a life lesson there. The other lesson the kids seemed to pick up on was cooperation. We’re teaching Miles the meaning of Cooperating with Mommy and Daddy during the bed time routine and this was a great reiteration for him.

First and foremost, Stinky is a real working garbage truck that boys can drive around, load and unload. Stinky keeps boys engaged by asking questions, initiating sing-a-longs, exercising, playing games and he even has a couple of silly surprises that are sure to make kids laugh out loud. With more than 80 phrases, various movements and sounds Stinky™ offers the ultimate in open-ended play.

Miles Took Stinky with him everywhere for a day. I didn’t let him take it outside into the neighborhood for fear that he would get broken but I think he’s heartier than I give him credit for, Stinky The Garbage truck that is. Miles really likes this truck and I recommend it as a Holiday Gift for a child. I’m not going to limit it to a boy because Zoe loves playing with Stinky as well.
