#spon: I am in a partnership with Intel. Through this partnership I gain access to content, product, or other forms of value.
I recently began using a Lenovo Horizon 2s – from the line of new Intel All in Ones – and one of the first things that struck me about it was the beautiful flatscreen. No joke, this table PC has a bigger screen than the TVs I watched growing up! The picture is simply gorgeous and has made it ideal for watching videos on Netflix and YouTube. Because its wireless keyboard and mouse are optional, it can easily stand on its own and be operated using the touchscreen, making it almost like a smart TV. I know I am not alone in watching a good majority of my shows online now, and some of the programming I watch is hosted on TV network websites and can only be accessed on a computer, meaning I’d either have to hunch in front of my desktop to watch a show, or squint at my laptop screen. Well, that is no longer an issue thanks to the Lenovo Horizon 2s!
The fact that this device is so lightweight and portable and yet manages to still retain a large screen and picture quality makes it such an asset. The way we watch TV is changing, and this device does a great job of adapting to that and making it easy. We can watch this wherever we want – Jai’s office is connected to our sometime-guest room, and we have been talking about how we need to get a second TV so I can hang out and watch my reality shows while Jai plays his video games in his “Man cave”. This is the perfect solution, since I can easily move the All-in-One upstairs anytime I want to hang out there. I can even set it in my kitchen if I want to watch Netflix while I do chores – look how easily it sets on top of the dishwasher:
And yes, those are my Netflix profiles…I like to make new profiles to easily organize movies for parties. For example, “Bad Movies” is for when we have “Terrible B-Movie & Cocktails” night. Perfect, because it keeps recommending new hilarious films without clogging up my regular profile. 😉
The other advantage to having such a portable flatscreen? It makes it effortless to take over to other people’s homes. Grandma doesn’t have Netflix, but sometimes there’s movies she’d like to see, so we could easily take this over to her house for her to enjoy.
An Intel All-in-One Device is a fantastic family entertainment hub. It would also be ideal for those in smaller apartments or dorms – I know many people who use their laptop as their only “Television”, and the screen on these devices is far superior to your usual laptop screen due to its size and quality flatscreen. It’s also a great substitute for a second TV in guest rooms, since you can use it for so many other things when you don’t have company over – not to mention, your guests will love being able to play games and surf the web, too!
