Make a Difference to a Child – Some Tips from the Pajanimals
Originally I was planning to let you guys know all about Making a Difference to a Child Month back in July… but MAN! Things around here got SO BUSY! Between a mock Thanksgiving, traveling, and to top it all off, a sick little boy… the end of July blew by. The good news is, I still have a cute cuddly plush Pajanimal and some good ideas on how to make big difference to a child.
First of all, let me introduce you to Apollo. He is a lovable little green dog that has made his way into our home. If you’re a fan of the Pajanimals, you will recognize him right away. The Pajanimals is a television series that originally came out in fall 2011 on Sprout. It’s all about 4 sweet characters – Sweetpea Sue the pony, Squaky the excitable duck, CowBella the creative cow, and the optimistic puppy Apollo. The show focuses on the skills needed to get ready and go to bed through imaginary journeys and adventures. TOMY has created a plush line to go along with these characters. It will be available in stores this fall, and Atticus and I were lucky enough to get a preview.
July was Making a Difference to Children Month, but I definitely think that is something we can strive for every month. What can you do? Pick one or two activities to do with a child; support an organization that works with children; push legislative action that supports initiatives that benefit kids; and spread the world about helping children through organizations, groups, and causes that you really feel are great. Do you know another way you can make a difference to children? If you’re a parent, make sure you take some time to just enjoy your own children. Seeing my little guy sick back in July really reminded me of that. Seeing him fall in love with this little Pajanimal Apollo? Made it ever cuter. 😉
