Lysol Disinfecting Wipes 200.00 American Express Gift Card Giveaway

December 15, 2010 by Momstart 1,016 Comments

disinfecting-wipes-4in1

Having a new puppy and accidents all over my hard wood floor, I am using Lysol Disinfecting wipes left and right. I’m also using them every day to clean out Abby’s crate. She’s just a puppy and can’t seem to go longer than 30 minutes without making a mess in her crate. So I trust Lysol to get rid of all those nasty germs that I do not want my kids around.

It’s also cold and flu season and with Zoe in preschool she’s bringing home every germ under the sun. Health is a big priority for me in my house, because with all my traveling, I seem to be the one always getting sick. Zoe brings it home and I get sick. The neighbors come over and I get sick. So I’m taking to sanitizing things a lot more often. I guess, I’m finally taking my grandmother’s advice and doing it at least once a week. I should have listened to her sooner. To make it even easier for moms like me to help stop the spread of germs this cold & flu season, LYSOL is offering Buy 1 Get 1 Free packs of LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes and LYSOL Dual Action Disinfecting Wipes at major retailers nationwide through January 2011. You can even give one to your child’s teacher to help keep classrooms germ free!

Lysol disinfecting wipes are for use in your home and locations around your community, such as schools, LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes kill 99.9% of germs to help keep your family healthy during cold & flu season so you can do more with your kids. LYSOL Dual Action Disinfecting Wipes have a scrubbing side that cleans tough messes like soap scum and grease. Use LYSOL  Wipes to kill viruses and bacteria like Influenza A, H1N1 and E. coli on commonly touched hard surfaces. Don’t forget to check out the Lysol the community and new Facebook pages.

My favorite cleaning tip is just splitting tasks up so I don’t feel overwhelmed by it. I have 3 bathrooms to clean so I will clean one bathroom each day. I have 2 floors to vacuum so one day I will vacuum the upstairs and another day I will vacuum the downstairs. It makes the task of cleaning much more manageable.

I finish each morning in the bathroom after I get dressed for the day by “swiping” the sink handles, counter, and sink bowl with a disinfecting wipe- it keeps things clean with so little effort.

Cleaning a messy microwave I always heat a bowl of sudsy water in it for about three minutes, let it sit for about ten minutes and the mess can be wiped up in seconds.

My best cleaning tip is to turn the music on while cleaning. It won’t get as boring and it can be fun! I also make sure to get the dishes done before bed, I hate waking up to a sink full of dishes. I’m not sure that’s a tip really lol!

My cleaning tip is to focus on 1 room at a time. I have 3 boxes handy: 1 for giveaway items, 1 for items that belong in another room and 1 for garbage. My family is due for a big decluttering session. I have the week off between Christmas and New Year so we are going to attack one room a day and then end each day with a special treat and a movie. We are actually looking forward to it. It will be great time to spend together as a family. Thank you for the giveaway. Would love to win. Merry Christmas!

I like to do things in bits and pieces. I do a little cleaning each day so it’s not overwhelming, and the house is always clean.

The right kind of mats placed inside and out of all entrances will help cut down on cleaning time.

You don’t need fancy mildew cleaners to remove mildew from your shower etc. regular household bleach work fine. Don’t use full strength use only a little less than a quarter cup for a little more than a pint of water. Be sure to rinse your cleaning solution off when done.

one of my favorite cleaning tips… I used to keep a handled tub with all my cleaning products in it and weekly i would take it out and clean bathrooms, mirrors, etc. NOW, I keep a tub of wipes and window cleaner in each bathroom. This way, I can easily do touch ups in between my weekly cleaning as they are right there in the bathroom and very handy.

My favorite cleaning tip is to use baking soda and vinegar to clean slow drains! Also, cleaning with music going in my house really makes things fun and seems to get the job done faster! We are always dancing and singing while we clean!

Don’t have ONE towel in the bathrooms for drying hands. One hand drying towel means SHARED germs and viruses. Buy hand towels in several different colors and assign a color to each family member, for instance, Dad’s is blue, daughter’s is pink etc. Hang one of each color on the towel bar and everyone has their own towel for hand drying. Additional benefit… when you see a visibly soiled towel, you’ll know immediately who is not washing their hands well.

My favorite cleaning tip is to hire someone to do it–unfortunately that is not always possible, so I guess it has to be to wipe up messes as soon as they occur. It is so much more difficult if they dry!

For mildewed grout in tubs or showers, use a grout brush with a 1:5 solution of chlorine bleach and water.

My favorite cleaning tip is to straighten and clean during commercials. If you watch TV, you can get a few rooms done in about an hour of TV! I also have a DVR so if I get on a cleaning roll, I can pause the show and continue it later.

I immediately clean up after myself as I cook. So if I use a measuring cup, it gets washed
before I move to the next cooking step. It is easy if I fill the sink with hot, soapy water before I start my cooking.
