Love At Home Consultations with Doctors #MOMSLOVEAMWELL.

September 11, 2016 by Momstart 29 Comments

This is a partnered post with Amwell and Mom Trends.

I can’t stress enough how crazy my life is. With the kids acting and us hardly ever living at home we have nothing that is normal to us. At home, even when we are at home if the kids are sick, it’s impossible to get into to see their doctor. She’s always booked up months in advance. We couldn’t even get in to see her last time we were home for their yearly check up. Sigh, so sick child appointments are IMPOSSIBLE with her. But like I said we’re hardly home anyway. So, I LOVE being able to check in with a doctor on-line. That’s one of the reasons #MOMSLOVEAMWELL.

Having a sick child is never fun and there is never time for it, Amwell has after hours care.

After hours, on weekends and in the middle of the night (24/7/365) availability. Great for those who do have transportation or when you don’t feel well enough to drive and those who are newly relocated and don’t have providers yet.

With school back in session, even though we’re not even going to school we are around kids that are back in school. So we’ve been under the weather. Miles seems to be hit the hardest. So it’s nice to use Amwell. If you noticed, I’ve written about Amwell before. It was while we were in California. QUOTING MYSELF… “Amwell asked for my insurance information, my kids information. You can enter your medical history and it will keep track of the meds you are taking. It also keeps a log of when your next appointment is and the best thing is that if you have the app then it’s all in the palm of your hand. I can’t ever remember what I’m taking and the dosage so having it on my phone makes life a breeze.” AND THE BEST THING IS , all that information is still there.

Use Amwell

All I have to do is use my app.

See a doctor anytime on your iPhone or iPad. Amwell brings healthcare home, so that you and your family can feel better, faster. Doctors on Amwell are board certified, with an average of 15 years in practice. They are available 24/7, with no appointment needed.

Get the care you need quickly – typical issues include:

· Bronchitis
· Sinus infection
· Sore throat
· Urinary tract infection
· Vomiting
· Diarrhea
· Fever
· Pinkeye
· Flu
· Sprains and strains
· Cold
· Respiratory infection
· Headache
· Depression & Anxiety
· Weight concerns
· Smoking cessation

amwell app

It’s so nice being able to just get on the app and get the help I need. I chose the type of visit and selected a provider. And I get the answers I need in the palm of my hand. I love the accessibility, the convenience and the ability to get prescriptions without going in. Sometimes, I don’t want to share my kids germs or have them pick up more germs by going into the doctor’s office. This helps everyone stay healthier. And saves me so much time.

Check out this video #momsloveamwell….

And the lower cost gives all parents a piece of mind…

Consumers expect online visits to be cost-savers; with in-office visits costing, on average, $82 for first-time patients according to the Healthcare Blue Book, Amwell offers a $49 physician visit – a savings of $33. Great option for students in college looking for cost-effective healthcare or those between jobs and without insurance.

How awesome to not have to drag a baby out of the house when they aren’t feeling well! That’s miserable to sit in a waiting room for hours when you have a fever

What a great resource! I never know of these types of services, so thanks for sharing all about it. The medical stuff is so helpful to have on hand and be available 24/7 for any questions!

This has got to be the best thing next to sliced bread, now you know just how old I am… 🙂 Who would have thought… Just like in the sci-fi movies… Talking to a doctor on a handheld device. I think that I would prefer this than going into a doctors office with all the other sick people….

So many of my friends have kids that are sick already and school is only in session 4 days. ;( That time of year! I have yet to try a doc like this…but, it may come down to it this winter!

Great service and idea. Our entire household has had a sore throat pass through. Luckily, it wasn’t too big of a deal and we’re all over it at this point 🙂

This is so fantastic, we have to wait for appointments or drag everyone out really early to wait in line to get a same-day appointment which is stressful for everyone! this would solve all of those problems

Amwell is really convenient and I stand by them. They’re a big help to people who are unable to seek medical attention immediately because they have no means of going to the hospital. Aside from that they ease a mom’s worries as well.

I love the idea of this. I think seeing a doctor via computer is the way of the future plus my little girl would rather not go into the doctors office.

I would really love this! I hate taking my kids out when they are sick to the doctor’s. It especially doesn’t help being in a waiting room with a bunch of other sick people.

Wow! This is awesome. So revolutionary. I wish this existed when I was sick as a child. It’s so hard to drag children who don’t feel well out of the house and have them sit in a waiting room forever.
