We received samples from Little Loving Hands.
Little Loving Hands provides pre-packaged children craft kits where the end product is used to contribute towards supporting a philanthropic cause. Their mission is to provide a fun and educational method for parents and caretakers to engage children in learning about the importance of being kind and giving back to others. Within each kit, they provide not only the materials for the project, but also documents and other fun items to reinforce what the children are working on and how they are helping others.
How does it work?
You purchase a subscription. They send you the box full of everything you need to make a craft with your kids. It also includes a pre-paid return envelope. This is so you can send your child’s finished craft as a donation to those in need. The purchase of every box can be submitted for charitable tax-deduction.
The box we received is for the patients at The Children’s Inn at NIH. We received everything we needed to create a Search-and-Seek activity bag with game cards. These activity bags are soft pouches filled with special treasures chosen by your child, which can then be donated to the little patients at The Children’s Inn at NIH. The Children’s Inn at NIH is a “Place Like Home” for families with kids that are getting care from wonderful doctors at the National Institute of Health. Families come from all 50 states and 86 countries to help advance medical discoveries all around the world.
Next months’ box will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Washington DC. It looks like a fun snowman making kit. Depending on how many months you sign up for the price ranges from $20 – $25.00. It’s really a great way to start a conversation with your kids about how others don’t have the same as us.
