Learning & Laughing in Leaps And Farts

August 21, 2013 by Momstart Leave a Comment

I think Laughter makes learning so much more fun and helps the kids retain the knowledge. Miles knows all of his letters already but he doesn’t know a lot of words that start with each letter. These cards are teaching him bigger words that make him laugh. These cares are from the He-is-all-boy.com company.

Boys will be boys. Alpha Cards, flash cards created by Susan Levy, President of He’s All Boy Inc., use the humor and subject matter most appealing to young boys to capture their attention, channel it into early core skills and willingly establish a pattern of what will hopefully become a thriving, lifelong joy for learning.

I took a video of Zoe reading the cards to Miles, they were cracking up. They were cracking up even more last night when they were reading them for the first time. They would look at them over and over and over again and it’s good for both of them at their own levels. Zoe is learning how to read and Miles is learning word sounds. I just love hearing them laugh, and my husband looked at me and said, I think these cards are going to be the death of me. LOL, potty talk isn’t exactly our favorite type of conversation in our house and these Alphabet Cards are full of potty words like poo, and vomit, and urinal. Check out their video:

Susan’s professional background and familiarity with student centered coaching certainly made the challenge of engaging her son a natural one to address, but she credits the perfect storm of those around her for the momentum that turned this experience into products that could be shared with others. Her husband’s graphic design and entrepreneurial background, her older daughter’s enthusiasm for brainstorming words that made her younger brother laugh, her son’s sealing stamp of approval on the hilarity factor of each card and their sense of fun as a family as they problem-solved were the driving forces that resulted in the creation of these learning tools.

Bright, engaging, and funny, these flash cards are ideal for 3-5 year olds; entertaining to age 99.

MADE IN THE USA.  $11.95

Makes a great stocking stuffer for the holidays.
