The Brother P-touch Label Maker
When Louise asked if I’d be interested in reviewing the Brother P-touch Label Maker, I was SUPER stoked! I’ve always wanted one of these. Even when I was a kid, I was envious of other kids who had stickers on their lunchboxes made of those cool labels on red plastic sticker strips with the letters punched into them. I had plans. I was going to label anything and everything! Well, sadly, I never got the opportunity as a kid, so I jumped on this one!
I was so excited to get this fabulous little machine and start playing with it. At first, I kind of hid it from my kids. I wanted to play with it first! It’s awesome! It has so many more functions than I will probably ever use, some very professional looking, like custom business labels. There are two main fonts, and switching between the two is super easy. The full keyboard is great, and it’s small enough that you can (I did) hold it in your hands while walking around looking for things to make labels for! It feels a lot like texting, just on a bigger phone. The labels come out instantly, there is a cutting tool right in the machine, and they stick to pretty much anything!
After I had made a label for one kid’s trumpet case, for a few toy bins, the kids’ water bottles, I decided they could play too. And play they did!
We made labels for everything! From the normal…
To the obvious…

Rachel and her family had lots of fun with the Brother P-touch Label Maker, which is exactly what we would have done in our family too. My husband loves labels. He used a label maker when he was school aged and labeled everything in Russian in an attempt to learn Russian. All fun aside, the Brother P-touch Label Maker can also be used for organization around the house. Here are a few organization tips Professional Organizer Diane Albright has to offer:
· Create a fool-proof system. Set up an organization system so that whether you’re there or not, the household can still function.
· Conquer storage space. Labels don’t have to be just for reorganizing the home office! A Brother P-touch labeler can also be a great tool for labeling those winter storage boxes and craft supplies, making it easier for your family to find them next year.
· Regain control of the refrigerator. Start labeling leftovers in the refrigerator using the date/time function on the P-touch PT-1090. This will help regulate the clutter and allow moms to identify what’s good and what needs to be thrown away to prevent kitchen odors.
· Clutter Patrol. Every night, have a clutter patrol at 6 or 7 p.m. where everyone roams the house, picks up all their things and puts them away.
