Marring my husband introduced me to a fabulous brand called King’s Hawaiian. They make very tasty bread it has a special sweetness too it that just begs you to have another bite. So for holidays like Thanksgiving we love to get the King’s Hawaiian rolls to have along with the big Turkey dinner.
Over these last few years my husband and I have been going outside our comfort zones with cooking and he used a banana French toast recipe with hot dog buns that worked out tremendously well. So when The Blog Frog asked me to work with King’s Hawaiian to come up with a game day treat I thought about it and knew I wouldn’t have any trouble coming up with a delicious pre-game meal. I signed up to use the hamburger buns but I couldn’t find them in the store, so I’m going to be using the hot dog buns but you have to understand that this recipe will work with either size buns. The hamburger buns will work even better for a Football viewing party because they’ll be nice and big for all of those men you’ll be entertaining. So think big!
Growing up for me game day would be around 11 am or around 3 depending on who was playing and how close we were to the Super Bowl. We were really big Cowboys fans at the time, they were winning a lot. So we had a lot of parties over at my moms house. There was always lots of food and even though I had no interest in the game I’ve always been a fan of eating. One of my favorite foods is breakfast so this recipe is inspired by my love of breakfast, the sweetness in the King’s Hawaiian bread and the banana French Toast my husband made us.
