Taking center stage were the all-new 2017 Niro Hybrid Utility Vehicle, the 2017 Optima Hybrid and 2017 Optima Plug-in Hybrid, which is Kia’s first plug-in hybrid. There’s a lot to talk about with an announcement this big, so Kia also hosted a special press conference the following day to discuss these hybrids in-depth – click here to watch a video of the Q&A.
Chicago is a special city for Kia, because in addition to the Auto Show, it is also the home of the Chicago Bulls, who Kia proudly sponsors. Just like last year, Kia celebrated their vehicle unveiling by taking a group of bloggers with them to the United Center to watch the Bulls play the Atlanta Hawks.
In addition to the all-new vehicles on display, there are a ton of can’t-miss events happening at Kia’s Chicago Auto Show booth this week. There are ride and drives available every day where you can get behind the wheel of an Optima, K900, Sorento, Forte, Sportage, Soul or Sedona – I did this with Jana and it was very cool! – and you can also enter to win a 2017 Kia Forte. For ticket information and hours, visit ChicagoAutoShow.com.
