Cost per serving (baked) $0.91

Johnsonville sent me quite a few packages of sausage to try out with my family. I love sausage, you may think I say that about food and you’re probably right. I say that quite often. I just adore food, and sausage is one of my favorites. Especially Johnsonville Sausage! I love eating little baby sausages, and these sausage links are pretty good too. Today I got out a package of the Smoked Turkey Sausage and the kids thought I was making hot dogs. I told them sure we’re having hot dogs and rice. Zoe was a little confused at lunch time when she didn’t receive any bread but she enjoyed it anyways.

I cooked the sausage in a frying pan and then I added a rice packet that had everything you need in it. After sautéing the sausage I added the rice mixture and water and butter and yum, we had an excellent lunch. IMG_5550

My favorite way to eat sausage is in my grandmothers red rice and sausage, as a kid I use to try to get as much as the sausage as possible, ( probably why she started to cook some chopped up ones on the side!) This is making me hungry.
