Earlier today I gave you our review for Moana the newest Disney movie coming out November 23rd. Before that movie is Disney’s newest short Inner Workings. Inner Workings is the story of something we all need to remember, we need to have a little fun in life. I need this reminder all the time. I spend so much of my time on my kids. We do home school, I help them with their acting careers and then I try to use my spare time to work myself. This gives me very little time to enjoy myself.
We had the opportunity to sit down with director Leo Matsuda and Producer Sean Lurie.
Inner Workings beginning animation sequence was inspired by old Encyclopedia books and how they showed the body organs over plastic pages. I remember seeing them growing up because we had the exact same set that Leo had.
Paul is basically Leo. He’s one of those guys that mostly uses his brain to make all his decisions. He’s very serious and analytical. So everyone said to make Paul look like him. They ended up making a few adjustments like giving him a square head.
Inner Workings is pretty cute and funny. Every time the brain is making a decision it thinks of the worst possible outcome leading to death. The death scenes are actually funny because they are practically impossible situations that won’t happen. In the end he makes the choice to live a little and have some fun by going to the beach. It was great because we got to go to the beach too.
We hope you enjoy watching Inner Workings Before Moana November 23rd.
