This is a great Valentine’s Day craft you can do with the kids. It’s how to make an alien pencil topper craft and we think it’s great. My daughter loves having pencil toppers on top of her pencils and she makes pencil topper crafts all the time. She’ll even just use glue and see how it comes out as a pencil topper. That’s why we wanted to share this really cute Alien Pencil Topper craft.
Most of the kids nowadays are bored of the plain old pencils, much like my daughter. Since Valentine’s day is coming up, this might be something your class wants to do together, or that your kids could make as an alternative to the sugar gifts.
Step 1: Gather all the materials needed for this tutorial:
· a ball of yarn
· a fork
· a pair of scissors
· 2 pieces pipe cleaner (any color would do)
· a pair of googly eyes
· hot glue
· a pencil
Step 8: Fold the red pipe cleaner into two equal parts and form a letter V from it. Afterwards, curve each end of the pipe cleaner. This will serve as the antenna of the alien pompom. Generously glue the antenna on the middle part of the pompom.
You and your kids can experiment on the colors and the design of this alien pencil topper craft. Let your kids decide on what color or design he or she wants. This can also be used on pens and in all sorts of writing medium, you just need to adjust the gripping base based on the thickness of the writing material. Hope you had fun!
