Wow, I’ve been sharing a lot of different pizza recipes lately. Sharing another recipe with you guys is making me want pizza again. It really should be it’s own food group. For a smaller, bite-size pizza meal or tasty appetizer, serve your family or guests Hawaiian-Style Pizza Bites which are deliciously topped with chopped Hormel® Canadian Style Bacon and crushed pineapple.
What’s your favorite topping combo for your pizzas? Have you tried the Hormel® line of pizza toppings? My favorite is Hawaiian style.
Hawaiian Style Pizza Bites Recipe
1 (3.5-ounce) package Hormel® Canadian Style Bacon, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, well drained
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 (10-ounce) cans refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease miniature muffin cups.
To make filling, in bowl, combine Canadian bacon, cheese, bell pepper, pineapple, onion, mayonnaise and basil; mix well.
Cut each biscuit in half. Place biscuit halves in muffin cups, pressing gently to fit. Spoon 1 tablespoon filling into each cup.
Bake pizza bites 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm.
