Well, I haven’t told you guys yet about my camping trip and how we were unable to grill anything because it rained the whole time. Wow that was quite the adventure for us. One, I’m not a big camper, two I’m not a big fan of the outdoors, and three I hate the rain. But yes, we did go camping. We had to come home because we couldn’t cook and we ran out of dry clothes. Just a side note on how we Tried to do some grilling outside.
Hormel Foods is hosting a Summer Grilling Giveaway on their Facebook page. Hopefully yours will not be rained out.
Grand Prize: One Outdoor Grill ($500 value)
First Prize: Two Grills ($200 value each)

I love entertaining! My tip – organize your menu ahead of time and shop ahead. If I have a Saturday party I start prepping Thursday night.
Having everyone bring foods like a pot luck gets conversation going (“oh, how did you make this dish?? it’s delicious!”). Also invite enough people with ties to each other, so they can entertain themselves.

Buy more than you think you’ll need like beverages or food. If a particular guest is really hungry or thirsty, they may take more than their share and you may run out! If you buy than what is needed, you won’t have the option of running out!

For quick clean up, no worrying about breaking good serving pieces outside and very low cost: go to dollar store for plactic serving platters and bowls.
Have lots of finger food and cold drinks.

If you’re having an outdoor party or BBQ, set any available portable fans up in several scattered areas. It helps create some “cooling zones” during hot days like much of the U.S. is having now.

Such as Box of colored pasta, bottle of Italian Dressing and fresh veggies from the garden or vegetable bin. such as carrots green peppers and tomatoes. You can add chopped up cheese and sausage or ham. cool and quick.
