Win $10,000 for Your Child’s School – Help Your School Excel with @Excedrin Sweepstakes and #Giveaway
I am an Excedrin® Migraine brand ambassador. My journey for a migraine-free experience is my own. This post is through my work with them, but it’s a great back to school story about my preschooler and definitely worth the read. The giveaway included by Excedrin is an added bonus! 😉
The social media-sphere has officially been flooded with back to school comments, pictures, and posts. Some of these posts are from students dreading the homework and early mornings but excited to get back into the social swing of things. Teachers are posting and tweeting their own pictures of perfectly set classrooms ready and waiting for students and the super long work hours that come along with them. Then there are the parents with posts of their little cuties all ready with their lunch boxes and backpacks… complete with teary eyes mamas.
I’ve done the back to school thing for a long time now. I was a student, then spent years as a teacher, but have now transitioned into the next stage of back to school life. I walked my little three year old into his first day of preschool. The fact that he kept saying that he was “a little scared and a little nervous” the whole way in the car let me know what kind of trip into the classroom we would have. He climbed out of the van and there were definitely no smiles. I hear it’s not right to laugh at your children, but to honest his super grouchy face at that point was a little funny. After lots of reassurance, A LOT of crying from my “big boy” and a lot of help from his great teachers, I made it out of the classroom quickly and he went on to have a great day.
Like a true parent in 2013, I proceeded to grab my phone as I walked down the hall listening to him cry and post:
Since stress can be a huge migraine trigger it’s no wonder that 44% of parents in a recent survey expect to get a headache during the back to school season. I’ve definitely had my share of headaches during the back to school season and now that I’m starting it as a parent, I don’t see that ending. Have you seen the school supply lists lately? They’re nuts! The same survey says one third of parents will get a headache from just school supply shopping. In addition, more than one third of parents say getting themselves and their children back on a schedule is at the top of the list for possible headache triggers.
All of that being said, it’s easy to see how Excedrin fits nicely into the back to school picture! That’s why they are running the Help Your School Excel with Excedrin sweepstakes allowing five lucky winners to win $10,000 for their child’s school! Since a large majority parents (85%) think their schools are in need of new or upgraded supplies, so this would be a HUGE plus for any school. Check out the Excedrin Facebook page for more information and to enter the sweepstakes.
In the meantime, we are offering a great giveaway package from Excedrin that can help parents stay organized, hydrated, and migraine free. With crazy schedules, homework time, and the added stress of the school year, this package is sure to help out.
