It’s no secret that I love Halloween, and I’ve always enjoyed baking cute goodies for my famous All Hallow’s Eve parties. Long before I was ever a blogger and way before we were documenting our lunches for Instagram, I was creating pumpkin sugar cookies and brownie graveyards just for my own personal enjoyment. I have a soft spot for themed food – any time I find Halloween recipes or magazines, it makes me giddy as I plot my frightful food menu!
That’s why I’m so excited about Halloween Baking Championship, the special four-episode series premiering on Food Network this October. This is a cooking contest for people like me, who love creating ghoulish grub! 7 bakers will compete in challenges to create fabulous Halloween food in a series of challenges, from using classic trick-or-treat candy as an ingredient to creating a dessert to look like a traditional Halloween costume. Carla Hall, Ron Ben-Israel and Sherry Yard will serve as judges with Richard Blais by their side as host. Which one of the contestants will be crowned the champion and win the $25,000 prize? I can’t wait to find out and see what amazing treats they come up with!
Halloween Baking Championship premiers on Food Network on October 5th at 9:00 PT/ET.
