I thought I did a pretty good job of dressing stylishly throughout my whole pregnancy, if I do say so myself 😉 In my professional life, I need to be prepared on a daily basis for a construction site OR a more formal meeting with clients. Comfort and flexibility is key, but I need to look good too.
Now that I have emerged from the fog of labor and delivery, and established some semblance of routine with Juniper, the new little addition to our family, I’ve begun experimenting with taking her on short outings, like the nearby coffee shop or lunch with a friend.
10 days postpartum, and breastfeeding exclusively, it has been a huge challenge figuring out what to wear that fits, first of all, and that I can comfortably nurse her in when out and about.
I received the Mamaglo All Occasion Tunic in Black (Size Medium) and was excited to put it to the test. Not only is the material stretchy, soft, and breathable, it has built in shawl-like nursing covers for when you desire more privacy.
The nursing covers are great, though because I’m 5’3″, they look really long on me, hitting me mid-shin. For taller mamas, this probably wouldn’t be an issue, but shorter mamas like me should be aware that the nursing covers are pretty long. The length of them does make for a generous cover though, so I can see the appeal there. I think I would still prefer them to be a few inches shorter, so that they are in better proportion with my height. Maybe Mamaglo will create a petites line? One can hope!
Overall, the tunic is so comfortable, and definitely sharp enough that I’ll be able to wear it to work or out on the town. I’ll definitely be putting this to good use!
