Confession time: I’ve never been camping. Jai and I have been thinking about taking a fishing trip later this year, so I may dip my toe in the water by “Glamping” in a cabin – I need somewhere to plug my flat iron in, after all. 😉 But I do love getting out into the great outdoors and having an adventure – just like the furry friends in Open Season!

When I was a kid I went camping with my church youth group and I remember singing songs by the campfire.

My family and I love to camp! One of my favorite memories was seeing moose and otters when we went camping in the Boundary Waters.
A fun memory I have of camping was when my father took me and my two other sisters out on a camping trip. We had so much fun and I loved sharing a tent with my sisters!
we’re not really campers but we have done lots of cool outdoor activities on vacations from snorkeling with turtles, sharks, stingrays and sea lions to zip lining.
I remember camping as a kid and going on a big camping trip where we roasted marshmallows, got to ride in canoes, had a big bonfire and met a lot of fun people. Hiking and walking and swimming was so much fun and I got to go to camp every year as a kid.
I’ve only ever been camping once and I went to my friend to a pretty nice campground. We kind of cheated because we slept in a camper instead of a tent and basically played video games 75% of the time but it was still pretty fun!
I remember going camping with family and remember campfires, tire swings and fireflies
I never went camping but I always loved going hiking as a kid. Nature can be so fun and cool.

Being stuck in our tent in pouring down rain and then realizing it was soaking through the bottom so there was no way for us to stay dry.
I have great memories of my Uncle taking us camping and fishing as boys. He is gone now but not forgotten.
A fun family memory of camping is when my entire family went for our family reunion. We swam, fished, tubed down the river, played games and just had a blast!
Once when we went camping everyone else went down to the lake while I stayed at the campsite. I was so enjoying being alone in the quiet and the dark that I didn’t light any lanterns. That is, until I happened to look up and around me and noticed dozens of sets of yellowish eyes focused on me! Raccoons, raccoons, raccoons, just sitting there in the dark, just watching me in the dark. Very creepy, so I lit the lanterns, and had a good story to tell when the humans returned!
My favorite childhood memories are the weekly beach trips every summer! We had so much fun!
We had fun going camping when the kids were small, we would go with my sister and her kids.
I remember when I was a kid, maybe 6 or 7, and we actually lived in our trailer at a camp site for several months. I can’t remember where it was, but it was actually a fun experience that I will always remember.
We actually camp out in our backyard! Roast marshmallows and if it’s too hot we can go inside!
Camping out in our own backyard.
we had lot of fun in Disney
My aunt and uncle have always been happy campers. I remember going with them and my cousins as a kid. We got to swim and go on a boat and we had a blast! As an adult though, I know how much work goes in to it and I don’t think I would enjoy being the one to do all of the packing, cooking and work.
We are not camping people but we took a road trip to Chicago one summer and had a indoor camping experience in the hotel sounds cheesy but it was really fun
One of my friend’s and her mom used to go camping a couple weekends a month and me and all of our other friends used to go with them. It was soo much fun and have alot of memories!!
A fun family memory I have was camping with my 2 brothers out in the backyard. We had the best time! We even set up our tent and roasted marshmallows over the fire. I don’t believe I have been on a real camping trip before. But to me, that was just as nice!!
We loved camping in Yellowstone, thank you
We never went camping as a family but we did go to see outdoor concerts and fun festivals together. We enjoyed that very much.
We go camping so we have a lot of memories, but I love sitting by the campfire at night with a bunch of friends and family.
I remember camping as a teen with my best friend. We camped all the time in our yards and always had such fun.
My memory is when my family and I camped out on the beach!
I remember when we went camping in the Great Smoky Mountains.
We love to camp out,and we do it in our back yard as well all the time..the best was when I first got our big tent and the kids were so excited.
My best memory was when my sons were little and we went to Mill Bridge Village Camp Resort and it was a amish town that had 1738 Herr’s Grist Mill and the 1844 Covered Bridge (longest in Lancaster County PA It had a one room school house and a bunch of other things that I cant remember exactly. The amish people who owned it would bake and can foods and sell them at the campground. They had day and nightly activities which we all enjoyed greatly. I need to go back again since its been about 20 years since we went.
When I was a kid I went camping with my parents we loved fishing, swimming, riding our bikes.
I enjoy camping outside of Pisa, Italy once. The view was spectacular!
I never really did a lot of outdoors type things growing up, but around five years ago I was in Spain visiting my brother and he took me and some of his friends camping for a few days, then as soon as we got back we went skydiving together. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Being out in the middle of the sky up around 15,000 feet was certainly relaxing.
Last summer we took a last-minute hike in the mountains. It wasnt planned, it was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun.

It is fun to hike around the waterfalls in the numerous parks around Ithaca, NY.
We never went camping when I was young. However, my Dad would take us to a park and we would have a scavenger hunt. That was always fun.
we love to go to the zoo to see the animals we haven’t gone camping yet
We went camping for a week at Kinzua Damn in PA when I was a teenager. It rained every single day so we played a lot of board games and cards.
I went camping with my best friend’s family when we were in high school. It was miserable. I hated sleeping on the ground, and nothing is worse than tubing with sunburn!!
My family wasn’t much for camping. My Mom and I went on a girl scout campout once. I started off by running on a path and falling head first into a big mud puddle. The highlight was when someone in my cabin had hidden food and raccoons broke in and found it. A real mess.
camping at the state park and fishing
The park picnic we had on the 1976 Bicentennial.
My adult children talk about all the memrories they have from when we always went camping it’s so good for children to get out there and explore. Leave those dam vidieo games at home!
I used to go camping quite often in my high school years it was so much fun.
We love to go camping. We take an RV and take long trips twice a year. We are heading to the grand canyon at the end of the month, and last year we went to Disney world for Christmas!
My daughter loves to go on picnics at local parks;) we can’t wait for warm weather! Thanks for the chance!
I love the memory of when I took all three of our kids camping.
When I was young we would go camping for 2 weeks in the summer. The real camping….not an RV or cabin…the real camping in a tent. LOTS of fun and LOTS of wilderness…my favorite way.
My parents LOVED to take us camping when we were little! My 4 brothers and I weren’t huge fans back then LOL .. But over the years, as we’ve gotten older, we have come to realize what amazing memories came from those trips and how close-knit it kept us as a family. I have 2 little ones of my own, and carry out that same tradition with them, that my parents did with us. Gives a nice break from technology, too! 😉
My daughter’s first time camping was fun. Probably not so much for her because she hated the grass, the bugs, the rocks lol
My husband and I went camping and a man in a tent near us snored so loud we thought it was a bear
We went camping many times when my girls were little. It was always fun even when it rained.
We have a huge family reunion/camping trip that we plan every year.. it’s so much fun
Last summer we went camping and my niece and nephews caught frogs left and right. Some were the tiniest I’ve ever seen, smaller than a pencil’s eraser!
I went camping with my family once.
