Getting Organized with Mead and Target Giveaway

May 27, 2010 by Momstart 530 Comments

I am awful with organization. TERRIBLE! I just can’t get myself together and the only thing I have that is holding the pieces together is Outlook. But what do I do when I can’t access my computer or phone, and yes it does happen.

Sometimes, my husband would just like to know what is for dinner, sometimes, he and I, I should say we, we would like to know what our plans are for the week, what is our schedule for the month? I keep it all in outlook, and send it to him, but it would be easier if it was in a more centralized place, like the Fridge! Mead sent me some of their Organizeher products for review. I love the color! Thanks for adding color to my kitchen decor!

I know everyone likes to see my personal photos of using the products that I’m reviewing but for this one, and my trip being at the same time, I just didn’t have time to properly process the photos for the review. So I apologize, but rest assured, they are on my fridge. Ok, so saying that actually made me feel guilty and I jumped up and used my not meant for great photos video camera to take some photos.

Anyways!

Mead has an new line of organizational products for moms like me, and dads like my husband called OrganizHer, sold exclusively at Target.

Family To-Do Magnetic Notepad

If it can go on the fridge it saves my life. The kitchen is the center of life, you eat three meals a day so you’re always around the fridge. So I love this because I can keep different lists and see them all day long as a reminder.  image

Write ‘N Wipe Meal Center

I’m a big time meal planner, and I’m always pulling up my blog to find what I was planning on making, so now, I can keep it on the fridge, and make a grocery list as the same time!

IMG_0199Expense Tracker

image Saving money is made a whole lot easier when you keep track of how much you are spending. I once created my own way of keeping track of it, but this keeps me organized and saves me time. I don’t have to find a notebook and draw all the lines, it’s all done for me.

Magnetic Calendar Center:

IMG_0201

My husband and I can now centrally find all our monthly information and put our computers down for a while!

Month to Month Family Wall Calendar:

I asked for one of these because we always have one. We for some reason don’t have one this year, but now we do, so Thank you Mead for all of these products.

The exact same products I received (an estimated $50 in product), along with a $25 gift card to Target.

I like the expense tracker the best because I’m starting college soon & I need to start being more fiscally responsible. That means keeping track of earnings & spendings and keeping a balanced budget.

I would love the Write ‘N Wipe Meal Center, because I need a permanent place to plan meals. Both my meal planning and my grocery lists end up on scraps of paper, which end up anywhere and everywhere but at the grocery store with me! So if I had a place to plan meals and a tear-off grocery list with it, I’d be all set.

My husband is a coach/administrator at a very small school where he has to coach everything and be at everything, so to keep his schedule along with mine and the three kids on the fridge for us to see clearly would help, rather than the calendar I keep in my purse.

I would really like the Expense Tracker. Until very recently, I’d been almost consistently unemployed (other than various temp jobs) for the past almost 3 years. I recently started back to work and I need to formulate a workable budget and stick to it to keep myself from making the same mistakes that I did when I was working previously (not saving anything, not really keeping track of where my money was going because there was always a new paycheck around the corner, etc.)

I like the Write and Wipe Meal Center, because like your husband, sometimes my Fiance is curious about what’s on the menu for the week or sometimes he is really craving something, but it I don’t know about it and don’t buy the ingredients for it so this way he can write up on the menu board what he would like. The Expense Tracker would also come in super handy as we are trying to get our budget under control and start saving for our wedding and a down payment for a house.

I like the Magnetic Calendar center the best myself. I would love to have a centralized place for things myself. I don’t even use outlook. I use little strips of paper and the backside of a bill and an empty page in a notebook to write things down. I spend more time looking for these little smidgens of paper to discover my plans and this is not efficient. No worries that my papers will crash or have a virus but there is the occasional “oh I thought that was trash” incident that occurs and that is just not so great. Thanks for the contest. For my sanity I hope I win. 🙂

I love the color coded tabs- that would be really helpful for us because dates often change so I am left with a mess calendar with things scribbled out! I also love that you can put your shopping cards in the organizer!

I Visited the product detail sheet at Mead.com and what you like best is it’s multifunctional and you can leave reminders essentially all over your house to remind you what you have to do daily. for a super crazy busy mom with a very old malfunctioning computer, it would be great to know that I would have a paper back up organizer some where to keep my life under control.
