Getting a Clean Home for the Holidays with Lysol Power and Free : A New Way to Clean #GIVEAWAY
To be perfectly honest, I used to not care what kind of cleaner I used, as long as it was strong and did the job. I was one of “those people” who had a million different cleaners stashed under the kitchen sink, and the bathroom sink, and in the closet.
Then, something happened.
I had a child. Once I had Atticus, I really started to care about what was in our house – like what chemicals were being used. I started using a lot of vinegar to clean (and I still do), but I wanted something else that was proven effective against germs.
This summer at BlogHer, I spent some time talking to the people at Lysol Power and Free. We all know Lysol. They are well known for their cleaning and disinfecting power. I tend to keep some regular Lysol wipes around the house and when I was a teacher I always used them to wipe down the kids desks hoping to help prevent the spread of germs. This Lysol is different… and something that I love even more. With Lysol Power and Free, you get all the germ fighting power of Lysol, but with simple ingredients that aren’t quite as harsh and abrasive. Lysol Power and Free does a great job cleaning. With minimal scrubbing, I used it to clean my stovetop, and my bathrooms. Check out the Lysol Power and Free bathroom before and after results.
No, I’m not someone who thinks using regular cleaners around kids is the worst thing in the world, but I am someone who thinks why not avoid unnecessary harsh chemicals when you can. Lysol Power and Free is made with Hydrogen Peroxide rather than bleach. It releases a ton of powerful microbubbles that get to work on stains and grime. It doesn’t leave a harsh chemical residue behind which is something I really like. I also like that I don’t have to be quite as worried about it dropping on the bathmats or my clothes as I do with bleach. You don’t even need to wear gloves or a mask when using Lysol Power and Free.
You should know that this is not an all natural product. Even though it is a milder cleaner, you should still pay attention to the label and only use it as directed.
Lysol Power and Free has helped me get my house cleaned up and ready for holiday guests. Our friends at Lysol would love to let you give it a try too!
