I think the best baby products are the ones that can grow up with the child, so that parents can get the most possible use from it. That’s why I was charmed by Prince Lionheart’s Everywhere playMAT, a versatile mat that can be used initially for infant “Tummy time” but has enough interesting characteristics to stick around through different developmental stages.
This mat is made from a lightweight, water-resistant foam-like material. It folds up for ease of storage and/or relatively easy transportation; you can also customize the size this way. When completely unfolded, this mat is HUGE; 6.56ft by 4.9ft, to be exact. 😉

On one side of the mat, we have a charming zoo scene, bedecked with cheerful animals.

On the flip side, you’ll find a bustling street scene with winding roads.

The nice thing about this mat is that it gives you a protective surface to put down while on the move with baby, while also providing a fun, stimulating backdrop. As the child gets older, they can seek out the characters on the map and do educational activities like counting the animals. The mat has the same repeating scenes, so it’s more like looking at an intricate wallpaper rather than a large “Where’s Waldo” scene. I think the coolest side is the road, myself, because I could see older kids using it as a road to “Drive” their toy cars on – what a fun backdrop! I think the only limitation on use would be how durable the mat is; since I haven’t seen it in action longterm, I can’t really say how it holds up.

The Everywhere playMAT comes packaged in a carrying case, so that you can pack it up and take it along with you more easily. All in all, I think this is a cute addition to any playroom!
The Prince Lionheart Everywhere playMAT retails for $60 and is available to purchase online.
I love how huge this play mat is, my son would love this for building his little Lego’s towns and playing his cars on. Very cool mat!
What a terrific and colorful mat for babies. Older children could use this too, great for their imagination!
This is the coolest mat! My grandsons would LOVE it! They are constantly on the floor rolling their different vehicles around and would love to roll them on these “streets”!
