I’m a coffee addict, but it gets difficult to enjoy my favorite beverage on hot summer days because I get overheated so easily. Iced coffee is the perfect solution to this, but we all know how our favorite coffee house treats add up – so Keurig recently sent me one of their brewers so I could try my hand at whipping up refreshing frozen coffees in the comfort of my own home. I’m a sucker for anything caramel, so when I saw the recipe card that they sent over, I knew it’d be a hit!
Frozen Hazelnut & Caramel Coffee
Original recipe provided by Keurig, with some modifications by yours truly!
4 oz milk
1 tsp of sugar
Caramel ice cream topping (To taste)
Reddi-Wip (For topping)
Brew K-Cup and pour into a blender with a handful of ice cubes. Add milk, sugar, and desired amount of caramel, then blend until smooth. Add ice cubes to a mug, mason jar, or large glass, and pour coffee over the ice. Top with Reddi-Wip & drizzle with caramel; serve, and enjoy!
This was a lot easier to make than I would have thought, and soooo good! Relaxing with friends and a cold drink really helps me beat the heat during the last stretch of summer. The Keurig K75 Platinum is my first experience having a Keurig in the kitchen, and as a certified collector of any and all coffee gadgets, I thought this was a brilliant addition. I love all of the programmable controls and digital readout – the unit is so sleek and has so many different features.
I also received an Iced Beverage Tumbler that is specifically designed to fit in a Keurig, so you can just fill it with ice, brew your coffee, and go! All K-Cup and Vue brewers can make iced drinks in this way. And since it takes less than one minute to brew, you can have an iced coffee pronto whenever you want it! I love how fast and efficient the Keurig is – this is perfect for when you want a cup of coffee later in the day but don’t want to brew a whole pot. It’s also perfect for those mornings when I wake up so fuzzy that I have a hard time loading up the coffee maker in my stupor…which would be every morning. 😉 And this is also wonderful for when you have company over, since you can serve everyone exactly what flavor they feel like – which is exactly what I did earlier today. Really, is there anything this can’t do?
