In less than a week, Disney is flying me down to Pixar where I will have the opportunity to learn all things Incredibles 2. Incredibles 2 will be in theaters June 15. I’m going to be so excited and you’ll see all kinds of sharing on all my social media channels, including YouTube. I’m just like a kid in a candy store over at Pixar.
We will be starting with a little preview of some Incredibles footage, then we will be checking out the Incredibles 2 world and how it came together, including architecture and design. This presentation will include the Production Designer Ralph Eggleston, Visual Designer Philip Metschan, Shading Art Director Bryn Imagire and Sets Supervisor Nathan Fariss.
After that we will learn about the Anatomy of an action scene, which means we will breakdown an action scene and learn how it comes together. This presentation will include the Story Supervisor Tedd Mathot, Layout Supervisor Mahyar Abousaeedi, Animator Kureha Yokoo and Effects Artist Amit Baadkar.
After that presentation we’re going to learn about the costumes and wardrobe, yes even in animation research is done for costumes. This presentation includes Shading Art Director Bryn Imagire, Tailoring Lead Fran Kalal and Character Artist Deanna Marsigliese.
Then we get to participate in a creating a super activity where we get to conceptualize a character. I LOVE hands on!
The rest of the day will include a Pixar tour, an indepth look at Jack-Jack’s powers, information about Disneyland’s “Pixar Fest” and a press conference with Director Brad Bird and Producers Nicole Grindle & John Walker.
And you can’t go to San Francisco without a visit to the Walt Disney Family Museum.
My kids love the part one. I am waiting for this new release. The trailer is very interesting.
Great trailer. This looks like it will be another great family movie!
