Falcon Crest was on when I was a very little girl. I remember watching a little bit of it, but I was much more interested in watching Dallas. So, what is your memory of Falcon Crest? I just asked my mom if she watched it and she said yes. Of course she watched it, otherwise; how would I have ever seen it?
Falcon Crest was one of the evening Soap Operas when on air in a time when people were much more interested in watching soap operas, now everyone is just interested in reality TV. I mean, I love reality TV too but I also like a good dramatic show to watch, and I’ll admit, I still watch soap operas when I get the chance.
The dramatic saga continues in the complete second season of Falcon Crest, the popular,
long-running series centered on the rich vineyards and richer people of Northern California’s
wine country. Academy Award® winner Jane Wyman stars as winery matriarch Angela Channing,
who will let nothing – family, honor, the law – stand between her and power. Co-stars include
Robert Foxworth as Chase Gioberti, Angela’s upstanding nephew and rival, and Lorenzo Lamas
as Lance Cumson, Angela’s scheming, playboy grandson. Meet the characters…indulge in the
lifestyle…savor the second season of of vintage television melodrama.
About FALCON CREST:
Created by Earl Hamner of The Waltons fame, the highly popular prime time television soap opera Falcon Crest ran from 1981 to 1990. Set in the fictional city of Tuscany Valley, it centered on two wealthy wine families: the Channings, headed by corruptive matriarch, Angela Channing (Jane Wyman), and their rivals, the Giobertis. Falcon Crest ran for nine seasons on CBS, and was a Top 20 show in the Nielsen ratings for four straight years, ranking #13 in its debut year and reaching #7 by the third season.

I never watched a nighttime soap opera, but my favorite daytime soap was Passions, which I don’t think is on anymore.
Yeah, I never watched night soap operas…unless you count the UK soap Hollyaoks which is on at night…I watch that online sometimes.
However, in the morning…I watched Passions.

I loved watching Knots Landing!!! I was sad when it went off the air. I wish TV would bring back some good night time soaps again!!
soap was my fav soap
It was a tie between Dallas and Falcon Crest as which one was the best I couldn’t live without them (but I did!!)..Then Melrose Place became number one when the other two went off air. Everyone that knew me back then knew not to call or come to see me when they were on…man, those were the good old days
My favorite was Falcon Crest! This brings back great memories.

I should say Dallas, since I live there, and did have my high school graduation afterparty at Southfork, but I preferred Dynasty and Falcon Crest. Happy to say I’ve been to all three places…Southfork Ranch (too many times to count)…Filoli in California (Carrington Mansion for Dynasty) and the blue Channing house in either Napa or Sonoma CA.

I Loved Falcon Crest but I was also a Knots Landing (huge) Fan, I had a crush on Greg Sumner and I ended up Marring a Gregg. I named my second daughter after ‘Mack’ MacKenzie. She always says “I was named after some GUY on an old TV show.” I tell her, “But he was a REALLY GOOD person, JUST LIKE YOU”
My favorite were Knots Landing and a show that wasn’t on very long called Paper Dolls.

Loved Dallas the most, and then Falcon Crest.
I’m actually planning to watch Falcon Crest when I have finished Dallas. I’m a Netflix fan. My favorite series growing up was Peyton Place. I’m revealing my age now. The author of Peyton Place lived one town over from me in NH. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
