Cooking during the holiday season is very difficult because everyone is so busy. We have end-of-the- year concerts for the kids, classes and holiday parties. We’re out celebrating the season, going shopping and looking at holiday lights. So by the time I get home I just want something quick and easy to make for dinner. One of my go-to solutions for a quick and delicious meal is right in my freezer – called Crazy Cuizine. There are so many recipes you can make with the brand’s versatile products, and one of my favorites is called Haystacks, which you can make with Mandarin Orange Chicken or Teriyaki Chicken. Crazy Cuizine is a line of authentic, high-protein Asian dishes inspired by classic Japanese, Chinese and Korean recipes.
Fully cooked (ready to heat and serve) and high in protein, Crazy Cuizine’s dishes are free of preservatives, trans-fat and MSG.
My husband and daughter are very picky about their brand of meat, however Crazy Cuizine is one of their favorites – probably because it is high-quality and tastes like it came from a restaurant! I love the little prep it takes to whip up Crazy Cuizine products, such as the Mandarin Orange Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken.
This is a popular recipe in my house because everyone in the family gets to combine their own toppings as desired.
Teriyaki Chicken Haystacks Recipe
Ingredients:
1 package Crazy Cuizine’s Teriyaki Chicken or Mandarin Orange Chicken
1 to 2 cups uncooked rice
Fruit/Veggies of your choice
- 1 can diced pineapple
1 can baby corn
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 can black olives
1/2 cup cheese
1 cup chow mein noodles
Directions:
Make the rice according to the directions on the back of the bag. I have found that 1 to 2 rations of rice to water works best, but that also depends on the rice you are making. Be sure to add salt and butter or oil to your rice as you are cooking it.
Cook the chicken of your choice according to the directions on the package. We made the chicken on the stove top because that is the recommended way to make the Crazy Cuizine’s Teriyaki Chicken. The Mandarin Orange Chicken can be cooked on the stove top or in the oven.
Open all the cans and drain them of water. Then place them in other containers and take to the table.
Let everyone plate their own, I recommend rice on bottom, sprinkle cheese, fruit/veggies, then protein and finally top off with Chow Mein Noodles.
You can find the Teriyaki Chicken and other products, like Mandarin Orange Chicken and Chicken Potstickers, to name a few, at your local Safeway, Costco Albertsons or other fine markets. You can find other recipe ideas on Crazy Cuizine’s website, and on the brand’s Facebook and Twitter.
