Did you know that this year marks the 100th anniversary of Hormel Pepperoni? Wow! I know it’s certainly been a staple in my kitchen for ages. In fact, I was looking through archives and found a blog post I wrote on my coupon website back in 2009 where I was sharing how I made the easy appetizer spread above. We had company coming over, so I set out Hormel Pepperoni with crackers, cheese, grapes, and deviled eggs. It was a perfect afternoon spread to welcome our guest!
Besides eating it on crackers, my other favorite way to use Hormel Pepperoni is on pizza. I’ve made some amazing pizzas in the past with homemade pizza dough from the breadmaker covered in the pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, onions, and other yummy vegetables with a liberal covering of cheese. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of those, since that was before the days of Instagramming everything I ate, but I think this just gives me a good excuse to make pizza again soon. 😉
