I love milk, just love love love it and thinking of using something else in it’s place is like speaking a different language. It just isn’t going to happen. However, I’ve seen and heard that there are benefits to Earth’s Own Almond Fresh and Ryza Brown Rice. I think Summer’s mentioned substitutions in recipes in one of her past reviews. So I’m up for the challenge.
First Ryza Brown Rice beverage:
This is a wholesome, nutritious choice for your healthy lifestyle. The Ryza Brown Rice Beverage is made with the natural whole grains of brown rice, it’s not milled or polished, and that helps it retain all the natural oils, vitamins and minerals of the entire grain. With no added sugar or oils, cholesterol free ryza includes naturally occurring high quality protein with only half the fat of other rice beverages. I’m all over half of the fat!
Ryza contains 1 full serving of whole grains (16g) in every cup. Getting enough whole grain in your diet is a whole lot easier – and tastier – when you drink ryza.
The Almond Fresh is what I believe Summer has cooked with before and I’m looking to get some baking done with it really soon too.
For example, I’m really excited about trying out this recipe here:
Almond Fresh Brioche Bread Pudding
1/2 cup butter-melted, plus 1 tbsp to grease the pan
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 3/4 cups Almond Fresh Vanilla
6 slices stale bread, or (approx. 4 cups) brioche-cut into cubes
3/4 cup chocolate chunks
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Generously grease a 8” x 8” baking pan with butter.
3. In large bowl, whisk together butter, sugar, eggs and Almond Fresh.
4. Add the bread cubes and allow to soak until they absorb the Almond Fresh mixture, about 3-7 minutes.
5. Fold in the chocolate chunks and almonds. Pour into baking pan.
6. Bake in oven for 45 minutes, until golden brown.
Almond Fresh™ is made with nutrient-rich real California almonds, Almond Fresh offers a unique “real nutty taste” that is exclusive to the beverage. And I really enjoyed it. Ryza™ is the only rice beverage to bear the Whole Grains Council seal and Ryza is also the only rice milk to contain 16 grams of whole grains per one cup serving. Ryza contains no added oils. It’s an amazing treat.
