Sending kids to college is expensive enough when you’re adding up tuition and books and food. Then you have housing and what not. The Dollar signs just keep adding up. But you don’t want to send your college student to their dorm room without having everything they need and Dollar General is a great place to go to load up for everything they need.
When I went to college I had to pay for everything myself so I had to learn how to stretch my dollars as far as I could and I think it’s important to teach my children the same thing. DG Dorm Essentials include things you need for the bathroom, the kitchen and even food, you can load up there. I love how you can get a bathroom caddy, the toothbrush, toothbrush holders and shampoo and conditioner.
For the kitchen of course you can get pots and pans and utinsels. You can get oil and food and I just go crazy at Dollar General you know. When I was in college I even got little bottles of who knows what was in it just to decorate my kitchen, I did the same for my bathroom. I mean that was when I moved out of the dorm into an apartment but I was still in college, I just had more space to call my own and wanted to give it a little of my flair but I still had to stretch my dollars as far as I could.
I have a challenge for you, along with a giveaway. You can win a $25 gift card at Dollar General if you can tell me how far you could stretch that $25 at Dollar General on dorm supplies. Tell me a few things that you could use to fill up a dorm room. Two extra entries if you like Dollar General on Facebook and follow Dollar General on Twitter.
I received the gift card and I’m in charge of choosing the winner and making sure you receive it.
Leave a comment telling me what you would fill a dorm room with from Dollar General
