Disney’s The Princess and The Frog DVD #giveaway

March 11, 2010 by Momstart 182 Comments

PrincessandTheFrog3DiscBlurayComboShortly after posting my Disney Princess Line up, I was told that I can give a copy of the DVD away and that they will send me a copy as a Thank You for posting. Ahhh, the excitement I had. I haven’t even told my daughter yet. I was singing and dancing my way through the afternoon. Disney just makes me happy.

Princess Kiss Montage

Bonus Features:

    story.

The Blu-ray Combo Pack edition comes with additional bonus features, including:

Backstage Disney:

  • Magic In The Bayou: The Making of A Princess — Co-writers and directors John Musker and Ron
Clements take a freewheeling, behind-the-scenes look at the making of Disney’s newest animated
film as it grows from an initial concept to a lavish animated film set in the enchanting world of New
    Orleans and the surrounding bayous.
  • The Return To Hand Drawn Animation
  • The Disney Legacy
  • Disney’s Newest Princess
  • The Princess and the Animator
  • Conjuring The Villain

My daughter and I saw it a few weeks ago and its an animated film and fairy tale musical which takes place in New Orleans in the 1920s. The prince Naveen is transformed into a frog by the evil voodoo magician Dr. Facilier. The frog mistakes Tiana for a princess and has her kiss him to break the spell. The kiss does not break the spell, but instead turns Tiana into a frog as well. The princess and the frog then try to reach the voodoo queen to break the spell. The End!

In 2004, after the disappointing box-office receipt for their animated film Home On The Range, Disney declared traditional hand-drawn animation dead and closed their animation department, announcing that all future Disney films would be computer animated. Thankfully, when John Lasseter became chief creative officer at Disney, he decided to bring back hand-drawn animation. The Princess and the Frog is their first hand-drawn feature since 2004. I am glad Disney has taken the chance on reviving this lost art form. Thank you for the chance to win.

Princess Tiana was taught to always work hard at what whatever it is you do and thats something we all can learn from , young old , rich ,or poor.
