Dad to Dad: Parenting Like a Pro is a must have book and is a fantastic resource for dads! New dads, dads with experience, not yet dads and everyone in between, even moms will learn a thing or two! I wish that I had read this book as a parent when my kiddos were younger! If ever there were an instruction manual for raising kids, this is it. I’m a mom and I gotta say, I’m a little book envious.
Pediatrician and dad, David L. Hill, MD, FAAP provides great insight to what it’s all about for young parents. His book, “Dad to Dad, Parenting like a Pro” is extremely well written. It is practical, it is funny and it is right on! You will find everything you can think of from birth to development, feeding, discipline, and sleep habits and problems. There are great dad tips on knowing when to call a doctor with concerns and even a chapter about when it’s appropriate and how to talk to your children about sexual development.
This book has a unique and down to earth perspective because it comes from the insight of both a pediatrician and a dad.
As a pediatrician, writer, and father of 3 David Hill, MD, FAAP, believes humor is essential to surviving parenthood. He has put his theory to the test at various times as a stay-at-home dad, a primary bread winner, part of a 2-working-parent family, and a single father.”
As you can see, his well rounded approach is one to take note of.
This is a great guide to fatherhood that is recommended by this mom! Dad to Dad, Parenting like a Pro is available online or at major retail book stores for $14.95.
