A company contacts me through my e-mail and asks me if I want to review their beads. Beads, Zoe loves beads. Miles likes beads because his sister likes beads. Do I like beads, yes actually they are something that I would probably have a small addiction to myself. So I say yes, send me some beads from Eozy.
I look at their site to see all of the beads and then when the selection they picked out for me arrived I was floored at how beautiful they were and the prices on their site are better than Hobby Lobby. I may have to check out their shipping cost because they are in China.
After school I make it a point to sit down with the kids and we talk about their day and do homework if they have any. It’s the beginning of school and they don’t have much homework yet and they are both in Kindergarten and First grade so I’m not sure they will have much anyway. Which means we do a craft together instead of homework. The weather is still really nice so we need activities that are quick and making a necklace was perfect one day for our craft.
We made a Knot necklace where we tied the knot around each individual bead. It was a little difficult for Zoe at first because the string I gave her to start off was was the exact thickness of the whole in the bead and it takes a lot of coordination to get it through. Plus it was hard to do just for me but the end result was fabulous. She wore it to school the next day with a matching dress.
String, yarn or ribbon
A happy little girl
You have to tie off one end by making a few knots in it or you can make one knot put on a bead and then make a knot around the bead.
Add a bead to the string, leave some space between the first bead and then tie a knot around that bead
Continue tying off beads until you are satisfied with how many you have on and then tie the necklace ends together.
