We received a sample from Cook Time with Remmi. Remmi is a 15 year old with a love of food and eating food. She wants to encourage other youth to love food, try new foods, learn to cook and just learn more about eating good food. So she worked towards the creation of the Chef Club box.
When she was 11 years old she started her journey to help encourage kids that cooking is fun and to help them eat healthier. She created a partnership with her mom, Nancy, and they are still in partnership. She created the Chef Club Box to make it easy for families on the go to have healthy snacks between school and other activities. Her box also comes with some fun activities and items, other than healthy snacks, because she wants kids to have fun with food. Fore example, they have contests that they think kids would really enjoy and hope the box will encourage them to participate.
We received one of the boxes and there were a lot of healthy food options for the kids to try. Lots of sample packs and single serve items that the kids were excited to try. There was a very small amount of items that encouraged cooking but it was still an exciting box for a child to receive.
They are always looking for new and innovative products to bring to their subscribers. Each snack is tested for flavor with Remmi’s siblings and friends. They will have some of the same products that are the favorites in their boxes each month, but they also really want introduce new items. Each box will come with a new surprise, Remmi’s salad dressing, which is sold at Whole Foods and other specialty stores, and super recipes.
We also received Remmi’s cookbook Global Cooking for Kids next week. This book will be included free of charge with some of their longer subscriptions. This is a $25 value.
