Oh, how often I hear Zoe say, I’m not going to eat that. I don’t like that, that smells bad that is YUCKY. I respond back with, well you have to try it, and she insists that she won’t, but when she is brave enough to try it she often decides that she likes it. And I know with all my struggling to get her to try certain veggies, I actually have it easier than most parents. This is the type of story behind the making of Kidzmet. Founder of Kidzmet, Jen Lilienstein compares they way children think about learning to the way adults think about food. When we change a recipe or cook a food in a new way, the food is usually enjoyed, well by changing the way you teach a concept will make it easier for you to teach your child and that is the purpose of Kidzmet.
Kidzmet connects children with tutors, coaches and teachers that all take different approaches, and use different techniques when it comes to teaching so you can find what you need in your household. The Pairing Portrait, used by Kidzmet helps them understand your child’s “ingredients”, which is their learning style to a “recipe” the way your child learns and develops a system that your child can embrace. This summer Kidzmet is offering a 400.00 Cash scholarship. One lucky child will win a $400.00 Scholarship to put towards a summer enrichment experience. There will also be 50 runners-up that will receive a Kidzmet activities tote for carrying all your summer activities around.
