Mine turns out to be my family.
So it’s been a really rough summer for me actually. My grandmother died a month ago and before she died I was spending two weeks with her. Then when she died I stayed an extra week with my family for the funeral and arrangements. You might think, how in the world can this be your best summer moment?
Hang with me and I’ll tell you..
See all those people up there, that’s my family. When my grandmother was sick they all made their way from all across the country to be with her. She united us and guess what we’re all still talking to each other every day. We text each other and we call each other and we remind each other that we’re not alone and that we have each other.
Above is a picture of my mom, I reconnected with my mom. We had therapy shopping and meals and laughter and it was an amazing time even though the circumstances weren’t that great. Below is a picture of my dad and husband Andrew and this incident reminded me how much both of them love me.
So my best memory is my family. We reconnected and bonded and loved one another. We lost someone but we became closer and that I wouldn’t trade! I love my family and wish I lived close to each and every crazy member of my family.

Traveling with kids is fine as long as they are kept entertained along the way – books, games etc
Its fun to travel with kids.
I think it can be a good time but hard at times
My favorite part of summer was my birthday weekend.
My daughter got married this summer on the farm It was super~
My best summer moment is sitting in the sun while watching the kids run through the sprinkler. As for the other question, I haven’t really traveled anywhere with my kids.
It can be a little challenging, but a lot of fun.
bring things in the car to keep them entertained
It can be challenging but manageable if you keep in mind their limits when planning your trip. It is fun to see their reactions to places that might be old for you but are new and exciting to them.
I think it needs to be organized, we just traveled across the country with our young sons and it was nowhere near as bad as expected because we planned it well.
I think traveling with kids can be very stressful, but you’re making memories that they will treasure for years to come.
I find it a little distressing when traveling with little ones. But if enough games and books to keep them occupied then it is not that bad! However, smaller children like babies seem to be the hardest to travel with.
I love to travel with the kids we play all kinds of games while we are on the road to pass the time away!
Traveling with kids for us can be very hectic. Our sons like to annoy each other, but in the end we have a good time.
I think it can be fun, but also challenging.
I love to travel with kids and see everything through their enthusiasm.

It has been a very rough summer for my family too with my mom being diagnosed with cancer and my aunt, who is fighting cancer, being in and out of the hospital. The best moment of the summer was probably last weekend…. my sister and I managed to pull off a surprise birthday party for our mom! I thought for sure she caught on but she was SO surprised… it was a good night.
love going to the beach with my kids
I don’t mind. They have plenty to keep them occupied. : )
I kind of like traveling with my son. I only have one kid, I’m sure it’s different for people with more than one. I also think traveling with my own child would be much different than traveling with someone else’s child. I went on a beach trip once with a friend and her daughter who screamed in her car seat and drove me crazy.
make it fun & informative! Sing, be goofy, point out landmarks… but always stay buckled!
i always loved taking the kids along
All part of the adventure…
Traveling with kids sounds like a nightmare.
We love to travel with the kids. Be prepared with lots of snacks and wipes.
Traveling with children means using some organization skills and also means having alot of patience!
~your story about family reminds me much of ours we have a family member with terminal illness right now.
I think it’s a nightmare.
Best summer moment this year was walking in to Disney World. We had a great trip. LOVE IT!!!!
thanks
I have never traveled with kids other than when my little brother was a tiny one, but that was many years ago. I would assume that it is important to make sure you have plenty of snacks, cleaning supplies, and activities for them to take part in
Lots of park days with my son (lynn w on rafflecopter)
Traveling with kids can be easy if you just plan ahead. Brings snacks, movies, games, coloring fun, and other fun for the kids to enjoy and keep busy on the trip.
traveling with kids is a lot of preparing, stress, packing, but I know it is worth it, seeing the pictures and later on when they look back and remember, its a great experience for us all.
It’s stressful but they love going on trips so I think the benefits outweight the cost.
It can be fun to see new sights through your children’s eyes. But I agree that it can be stressful. I always plan to come home a couple of days before having to go back to work/school. That way you have a chance to rest and unwind.
Traveling with children does mean that you have to be flexible! And trying new food/new adventures is so much fun – and surely that is what traveling is all about!
Thanks for the chance!
I loved traveling with my girls when they were young. So fun to see new adventures thru a child’s eyes.
I think you better have snacks, games, songs, and books readily available to make the traveling go smoother.
so far i’ve never really had any issues other than add about an hour for exciting pit stops at rest stops and restrooms
If we are not in a big hurry, road trips with my kids are a blast!
my kids have flown hey were small babies and now as young adults they’ve seen the world and are awesome travelers.
can be fun when playing car games
I love traveling with my kids. It is important for me to always do something new with them for road trips so they dont get too bored
I think it’s pretty fun traveling with the kiddos–we just have to make sure we have plenty of things to keep them busy and snacks!
Travelling with kids can be a challenge, but it is rewarding to see them have fun.
undecided
I love traveling with kids. My grandson is a joy to travel with 🙂 great giveaway we love Coke!! thanks & have a safe school year ahead
If you plan ahead it can be great. We took a road trip(14 hours) with our six kids years ago and it was our best vacation yet.
Traveling with children is okay if they’re kept entertained and occupied.
I absolutely love it! My oldest daughter is a riot to be around!
travelling with kids is okay especially little ones because they can sleep for long hours
I love traveling with kids….so neat to see them see new things for the first time!
its hard but worth it
I love traveling with my kids, we travel to Florida every year with NO dvd player!!!
I love it.
I love spending time with my kids but I do not like traveling with them. They want to stop very often.

I think traveling with kids can be fun as long as you remember that they need time to stretch their legs and to always bring lots of things for them to do like coloring, playing with cars or dolls etc. I also think it’s best to leave at dawn so the kids can sleep in the car for a while and always dress them in their travel outfit the night before (something comfy and light). Don’t forget to bring some things from home for comfort. Kids don’t like change so always try and make them comfortable with traveling.
hanging out with friends and family.
I have traveled with kids and its a blast, and a headache
It sounds like a hassle.
