I made way too many cookies for my daughter’s birthday party. I just get carried away sometimes in the kitchen. Here is one of the recipes we created for her party!.
Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
Ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
4 teaspoons milk
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl mix the shortening, sugar and vanilla
Add the egg and beat until fluffy
Stir in the Milk
In a new bowl Mix all the dry ingredients (except nuts)
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture stirring slowly
Finally spoon stir in the nuts
Scoop out the dough with a cookie scoop place an an inch apart
Bake on baking sheet for 6 to 8 minutes
Cool slightly then remove cookies from sheet placing them on a wire wrack
