Southland was brought back to life for the fans. NBC decided that it no longer fit in with their nightly line up so they canceled. Well, everyone cried fowl play and TNT picked it up. I wrote a review of The Series Premiere a few weeks ago.
TNT is sending me Southland Season Two to review but it hasn’t arrived yet. I bet it shows up in the mail tomorrow afternoon. Then I’ll get to update this post with the review of the Season Two Premier. I’d love to see how it evolved from the very first two episodes.

Criminal Minds is the best cop show on right now. I still watch CSI and Law & Order, but they have been getting kind of predictable. I like the BAU(behavior analysis unit) in Criminal Minds and the way they get in the bad guys minds. Reed the wiz kid and Garcia the computer wiz are two of the best characters. I just love “Southland” and was surprised that NBC didn’t recognize what a treasure it had in this show. So glad that TNT has it now! When I was growing up (in the ’60’s,) my favorite cop show was “MOD SQUAD”….the original one with Peggy Lipton (now the wife of Quincy Jones!
