Celebrate Easter with a Raspberry HERSHEY’S S’mores Cake Recipe #BunnyTrail

February 28, 2014 by Momstart 64 Comments

I received product from Hershey’s and a stipend from Global Influence for my time.

I received a huge selection of candies and chocolate from HERSHEY’s and sort of went into a sugar high of excitement of my own. These candies are my favorites. You have HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate, HERSHEY’S KISSES Milk Chocolates, JOLLY RANCHER Hard Candy, TWIZZLERS Strawberry Twists, REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups, YORK Peppermint Patties, WHOPPERS ROBIN EGGS, ROLO Candy, KIT KAT Wafer Bars, etc. It’s all my cup of tea and perfect for Easter.

We love Easter and how we’re celebrating Jesus’ life and we get to eat chocolate while doing it. So what do I do with the box of chocolates and candies that I received? I looked into my pantry and found a HERSHEY’S S’mores cupcake mix and thought, I’m going to make a cake and decorate it.

raspberry smore cake

As a family we love to bake and we usually bake together. Andrew is so good with the kids and letting them help. I’m getting better at letting them participate and this was a practice run for me so that when it comes closer to Easter we will be working together to make a cake or some kind of dessert with HERSHEY’s.

For this cake, I mixed the cake mix together

Then I used my three different size cake pans

Then let them coolIMG_0976

Then I put the first layer down and added a raspberry jam in-between the next cake layerIMG_0977

After that I put Marshmallow crème to separate the top layer and put a bamboo stick in it to keep it tall and straight. And then I covered the entire cake with marshmallow cream.

with marshmallow

Then I decorated the cake and these are the candies I chose.

Raspberry HERSHEY’S S’mores Cake Recipe:

HERSHEY’S S’mores Cupcake Mix
Raspberry Jelly or Jam
Marshmallow Cream (need more than comes in the cake mix box)
Gram cracker crumbs (come in the box cake mix)

Assorted HERSHEY’s Candies and Chocolates

To Assemble:

Bake the cake (according to directions on the box)

Let the cake cool

Assemble the layers with Raspberry Jelly in between or Marshmallow cream in between

Then cover with the marshmallow cream

Then decorate with assorted candies
