VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV: The Perfect Gift (Especially Now)

April 3, 2020 by Beeb 11 Comments

Our new living room setup with the M-Series Quantum
Thanks to VIZIO for providing their M-Series 65” SmartCast TV for review!

Our favorite “Featured Pick” in this year’s Modern Mother’s Day & Futuristic Father’s Day Gift Guide For Techies 2020 is the incredible VIZIO M-Series™ Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV. This review had been arranged in early March, and I thought it would not only be a wonderful addition to our home, but also a great surprise for Jai’s 50th birthday. Life has certainly changed since then: His birthday was on March 13th, which was the same day that a national emergency was declared due to COVID-19. We’ll certainly never forget this milestone birthday!

The TV shipment was already en route, and arrived the day before we began self isolating at home. I’ve never had the pleasure of owning such a large television before, and the process of receiving it was quite awe-inspiring: This TV arrived on a semitruck, which had to shut down a lane of traffic and idle in front of my house to make the delivery. It was truly an impressive sight! The driver and I both made ample use of Lysol spray and wipes as the handoff was made in order to protect each other. I’d like to take a moment to say a huge, gigantic “Thank you” to him and all other delivery drivers (and other essential workers) for what they are doing right now!

VIZIO special delivery

As it happened to work out, Jai was on his way home from his final errand picking up advanced prescription refills, so I waited on the porch next to the TV for him to come home – I even added a little bow on the top! I could see his jaw dropping as he pulled into our driveway. Happy birthday! Since we’ve never owned a TV this big before, the wall that we previously kept our TV on actually wasn’t big enough to fit this, so we re-arranged our entire living room setup to accommodate it. We switched around shelves and pictures, moved the couch to the opposite side of the room, got rid of furniture and switched up our entertainment center to make way for the M-Series Quantum. We love the new setup – the whole space looks better and feels more comfortable to be in. And we’ll be entertained in style now!

Our Living Room Makeover With VIZIO

The VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV is the most impressive TV I have ever seen. First off, let’s talk about the amazing 4K Ultra HD picture quality. It is incredible, providing such sharpness and clarity. VIZIO’s next generation Quantum color provides up to 80% more color than standard HDR TVs with with over one billion shades of colors – that’s a lot! Active Full Array® provides deeper black levels for more depth and contrast, while UltraBright 600 brings out detail in highlights and lowlights. You’ll also enjoy 120Hz Effective Refresh Rate and backlight scanning thanks to Clear Action® 360, plus a wider spectrum of colors and detail with Dolby Vision™ HDR.

VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV

Combined with the 65″ screen, this picture quality provides a truly cinematic experience from the comfort of your own home – and since the new movies of 2020 are now showing “On Demand” instead of cinemas, you can really create that movie theater experience at home watching it on the M-Series Quantum. (Psst – you can also rent all those new releases right from the SmartCast Home screen!) And it’s not just movies that I notice the picture difference on – even watching a tutorial from one of my favorite makeup YouTubers, I saw much more detail than I usually do, which makes it easier to follow along and see how different cosmetics look. I wasn’t expecting that!

VIZIO WatchFree

The M-Series Quantum is also a Smart TV with VIZIO SmartCast 3.0, which gives you access to all the essentials like Netflix and Hulu. There are so many apps built-in to stream content with – I am especially impressed with VIZIO WatchFree, which allows you to access over 100 free TV channels – no subscriptions or logins required. It’s set up with an easy on-screen guide which replicates the traditional experience of flipping through TV channels, which I really enjoy – I “Cut the cord” many years ago and never looked back, but I do sometimes miss being able to just flip through channels the way I would on cable; I take a certain comfort in it!

And when they say this TV is smart, they really mean it! The VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV has voice control support built in, meaning that you can pair it with Google Assistant, Siri, or Amazon Alexa. While I was drinking my coffee this morning, I was able to say, “OK Google, turn on the living room TV” and it automatically powered on – it’s so futuristic, I felt like George Jetson! And if you’re a fan of Chromecast and Apple Airplay 2, you can stream content from your device right onto your TV. Aunt Martha’s family slideshow just got the 4k treatment!

I would have been thrilled to add the M-Series Quantum to our home anytime, but it’s especially helpful now that we are staying home for the indefinite future. Television is a source of both information and entertainment during this time that we’ll be leaning on; I’ve even been using the TV to do yoga on my Wii Fit and get that much-needed home exercise! The VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV is an amazing gift in any situation – and I can say from experience that it has been a really phenomenal thing to have during this lockdown.

VIZIO

The VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65” Class 4K HDR Smart TV is available to purchase online for $699.99. It would be a wonderful and thoughtful gift for stir-crazy parents as we approach Mother’s Day & Father’s Day! As always, check ahead to find out about current delivery times and methods – my delivery required a signature, so make sure you’re following current health advisories and practices since we’re in a rapidly changing situation. And if you’re reading this post after the world has come out of quarantine, hooray!

Cloak & Dagger Gets Better And Better With Each Episode

June 28, 2018 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Disney provided hotel and Transportation to LA for the Ant-Man And the Wasp press event and it included a Q&A with Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger……

image

What is Cloak & Dagger?

Cloak and Dagger is a new Marvel TV series that plays on Freeform every Thursday night 8:00 / 7:00 Central. It’s about the two comic book characters known as Cloak and Dagger a couple destined to be together but are they?

image

Episodes 1-4 have already aired and they start out pretty slowly. We screened episode five which finally feels like our characters have realized they have powers and started to take advantage of them. For me Cloak and Dagger feels unlike any other Marvel TV series, even though some say it has a Luke Cage kinda feel. As I re-watch the episodes I’m starting to see more and more details and I’m able to put more and more together. They have a complex gift, family life and connection and as the story goes on I think it’s all going to unravel. I’m wondering if their stories are even going to intertwine in such a way we learn how they got their powers.

image

Q&A with Andrea Roth (“Melissa Bowen”), Miles Mussenden (“Michael Johnson”) and Executive Producer Joe Pokaski

After the screening we had our Q&A and didn’t learn a whole lot because Marvel is so tight lipped. We did learn though that the parents have their own stories and we will be learning more about them as the series goes on.

Joe Pokaski

image

Joe wrote an idea for Cloak and Dagger over five years ago and pitched it to ABC Family and it was shoved in a desk. It was later found and people wondered why it wasn’t already on the air. So it got the green light.

Andrea Roth

image

Andrea Roth said that the writing of this show is so good for even the adult characters and that all of her friends are addicted to the show. Andrea also talked about being a mom and how parenting a teen on screen is pretty fabulous because Olivia Holt is the perfect girl to be working with. It’s also easy because you can walk away from it. Parenting in real life is 24 hours a day.

About the Music

Joe talked a lot about the music and how it has to have a lot of different genres. He also spoke about his request for all the music to be driving. It has to move you into the next scene or just help make the current scene move. He’s not afraid to use music like hip hop when needed and music you’ve never heard of in the next.

One of the questions that was asked is if there will be any redemption for Tandy’s mom?

YES! Everyone has the opportunity for redemption. Her story is going to get really good around episode 8.

Why was it in New Orleans?

image

Joe steaked out a lot of locations and just felt that it had to be in New Orleans. He said that New Orleans is very European and that how could it not be there. It had to be there. And watching how the characters’ powers work, I agree and think he made a great choice. Plus, someone said, New York is already overprotected.

Have you learned anything as a parent?

Andrea said, “ease off the booze”. Which was funny because of course she doesn’t drink as much as her TV character does.

Miles Mussenden

image

He talked a lot about his son and how he has to protect him. He took him to a birthday party where everyone was playing with toy guns that looked so real. He noticed that the only other parent of an African American child also stayed. It’s something he has to be aware of. He also told us that his son loves to wear hoodies and he’s told his son he might want to steer clear of them. It’s this kind of perspective that has been brought into the show to make it so good.

Joe talked about how many different writers have been brought in and why they were brought in. Just because he worked on a show like Daredevil for Netflix doesn’t mean he knows what it’s like to be a teen girl or black guy in the South. Cloak and Dagger has a grittiness to it that you aren’t going to feel in other programs. And if you started it and thought it was too slow, give it a chance, some programs just need that time to really set up a story. And this one is taking off.

Tour The Set of Roseanne

March 27, 2018 by Momstart 2 Comments

Disney provided hotel and transportation for us to participate in an ABC TV press day. During this press day we did something epic, we visited the set of Roseanne. You heard that right, we visited the set of Roseanne, the show we all grew up with. Well, at least my family grew up with Roseanne. Roseanne was one of the first TV shows to portray family as a mess, because in all honestly we are all messy! Roseanne was the first show that I remember watching with my parents and I couldn’t believe I was allowed to watch it. She was crude and funny and things happened on this show that we weren’t usually allowed to witness. Yep, I’m that kid that grew up in a sheltered bubble.

Roseanne couch

So what was the set of Roseanne like, it was everything I remember from the show and more. The couch looks exactly the same and I got to sit on it. Here is a tour through photos of the set of Roseanne.

We also had an interview with the TV series children from the show, who are now adults, Michael Fishman, Sara Gilbert, and Lecy Goranson. children of Roseanne

All three are excited to be bringing Roseanne back for this nine episode run. Expect the first episode to be a recap and acknowledment of where they where and where they are now and that it all “makes sense for fans” according to Michael Fishman. I wanted to touch on the political aspect. There are going to be politics in Roseanne and I’ve seen a lot of people out there aren’t going to be watching Roseanne because she’s going to be a Trump supporter. Well, guess what people, the whole family isn’t going to be in agreement. So don’t judge this show by politics. Judge Roseanne by the comedy that it was and is. It’s a family show. IMG_7330

Which brings me to the question that was asked. WHY NOW?

Why Bring Roseanne back now?

IMG_7320

Sara said,

I think in one respect it was an incredible time to do it, because I felt like our country is so divided. And I feel like this is a working class family that can have varying political views even within the family but still love each other. And I thought what a great way to try to help unite people, have people listen to each other. You know, I strongly believe that we can disagree without being so divided. So, I’m hoping that we can help in that way.

IMG_7332

And then it was also just a matter of synchronicity. I think none of us really thought that everybody would be onboard. And when I heard John say that he would do it, then it just motivated me to see if everyone would do it. So, it is sort of this wonderful time in our country to do it, but that just was a lucky byproduct of the fact that we all wanted to do it at this moment.

ABC For The People: A New Court of Law Series #ABCTVEvent

March 13, 2018 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Disney provided hotel and transportation for press events in LA.

For The People Group Shot

My daughter wants to be a lawyer when she grows up, she is currently studying acting and the art of debate. She is learning how to do research and come up with arguments even for things she doesn’t agree with which I think are necessary skills in life and if she follows through with this current career choice. This also makes the new ABC series For The People very interesting to me. ABC’s For The People follows the career paths of both beginning prosecutors and beginning defenders as they learn and compete to be the best lawyers they can be.

For the People ABC

For the People stars one of my current favorite actors Britt Robertson and I believe she will quickly become one of your favorite characters on the series. I got to watch the pilot episode and I found myself wanting to watch the next episode. I really enjoyed this court series, they did a good job of balancing what lawyers do with their personal stories.

ABC For the People scene

(ABC/Nicole Wilder)
From L-R: WESAM KEESH, JASMIN SAVOY BROWN, BRITT ROBERTSON, SUSANNAH FLOOD, BEN RAPPAPORT, REGE-JEAN PAGE, VONDIE CURTIS-HALL

We also had the opportunity to sit down with some of the actors from the new ABC series For The People while we were in LA just over a week ago. ABC For The People stars we chatted with included, Jasmin Savoy Brown who plays Allison Adams, Wesam Keesh who plays Jay Simmons, Rege-Jean Page who plays Leonard Knox, Susannah Flood who plays Kate Littlejohn, and executive producer and creator Paul William Davies.

ABC For the People Interview Shot

Paul who is still legally a lawyer, played around with two ideas for the show. One of them was showing the perspective of both sides of the high profile cases that come from the Mother Court in the Southern District of New York. He wanted to make sure that you get a “richer sense of how the law works and how justice is made in America.” He has been able to draw off his own experience and from the people he’s worked with and went to law school with. We got so much information from the actors and how they prepared for the roles that I feel like I could write an entire post about what it takes to prepare as an actor to be in a law series. Mostly though, I’m just going to say they had to research the part. Wesam said he did shadow a public defender, and Jasmin said her information came from Susannah who did a TON of research and told her which books to read. This show will not be “ripped from the headlines” but it will have “real world relevance.”

See For the People doing well on ABC and continuing on for more season to come.

Child Support: A New Game Show On ABC

January 5, 2018 by Momstart 6 Comments

Disney paid for my flight and hotel in LA for press events during the Star Wars Press Junket.

Where are my game show fans? I know there have to be a few of you out there because some of you guys are a lot like our family and we love game shows. We love watching different game shows on the game show channel. Plus, my husband is always looking for new game shows to watch on the TV whenever we are just sitting around. Our favorite game shows are the ones that ask questions that we can also try to answer so I’m pretty sure that my family is going to like Child Support.

Child-Support

Child Support is a new one hour game show starring Ricky Gervais and hosted by none other than Fred Savage and we got to interview him. I’ll share some snippits from that interview in just a moment. First I have to let you know that the series premiere of Child Support airs tonight, Friday, January 5th at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and you should be sure to catch this first episode. We previewed the show and laughed a lot. The premise of Child Support is an adult is asked a series of 10 questions that get progressively harder. If the contestant answers all the questions they can win $200,000. When and if they miss a question, they have a possible save. This save is children which is why it’s called Child Support. Ricky Gervais is in another studio, in a room with 5 children who will be asked the same question. If even one of those children can come up with the correct answer the adult is saved and remains in the game. The answers that these kids come up with are so funny and it amazed me when they actually got some of the answers correct. Kids say the darndest things ya know!!

Ricky-Gervais-and-kids-

Ok so now for the good part. We sat down with Fred Savage and he said that the entire run of the game show was shot in two days. So when he was talking about different contestants he had a little trouble remembering which one was which. But his enthusiasm for the show was obvious in the way he spoke about the show. He was so nice and charming in our time with him. I think his only concern about the show is the title. I mean at first glance if you are looking at your guide and you see “Child Support” you might not want to watch that show. But once you realize the premise of the show it makes sense as a title. He had to call up Ricky and ask his thoughts…..

image

“I’m like, “Ricky, this is not something that people have a very positive association with. Do we want to be the face of Child Support?” He had similar reservations. He’s like look, there’s no better network who’s looking out for families than ABC and Disney. They’re not gonna do anything that’s gonna be inappropriate or negative or hurtful for kids. The name is controversial maybe. It’s noisy, so maybe in the noise, it’ll be like, “wait, what?” And then if we cause you to look again, maybe that’s the win there.”

He loved the contestants and would sometimes help them with answers. He didn’t get the questions in advance but sometimes the question would be easy to him and he would want to help them. He had to learn to be encouraging without being helpful or in one example not get upset that they got it wrong.

“I don’t know the questions in advance at all. So that’s why I read it very slowly because I’m not prepared. I’m really trying to figure it out with them, which is why I’m trying to help them and encourage them. I’m like, “Okay, talk that through. Go down that road.” I can’t lead them, but it would be just thinking along with them. I don’t know the answers in advance. It was completely genuine. I ride all the rollercoaster of emotions. When they win, I’m thrilled and when they don’t, I’m just crushed.”

Be sure to catch Fred Savage, the host of the newest prime time game show ‘Child Support’ starting TONIGHT, Friday January 5, 2017 at 8/9 pm EST only on ABC.

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 On Netflix August 4

July 25, 2017 by Momstart Leave a Comment

My son and I have spent so much time on Netflix over the past year and a half. Whenever my daughter had to work Miles and I would cuddle up on the couch and he would pick something on Netflix. We would watch something educational, animated or a movie. One of our favorite series to watch together was Voltron Legendary Defender. We have seen every single episode of Voltron Legendary Defender.

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3

I loved watching Voltron as a child so it brings me great joy that they brought the series back. I remember thinking that “boy shows” like this were so much better than “girl shows”. I think now they appeal to everyone and shows aren’t geared towards boys or girls anymore just to the masses and I love that about Voltron. There are more girls and the Princess to me, is so strong. Voltron Legendary Defender Season 2 kinda left us with a cliffhanger too. Will The Black Lion fly again? Will Voltron be whole again?

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3

On Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Voltron fans were welcomed by the ominous voice of Prince Lotor. He was imploring all enthusiastic panel attendees to take their seats before a screening of the premiere episode of season 3 of the critically acclaimed Netflix original series DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender. I would have loved to have been there.

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3

The 2200 capacity room was filled and the episode screening was met with cheers and wild applause. So I have high expectations. For now all we can show you is the Voltron Legendary Defender Teaser Trailer.

You can look forward to the return of Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 on Netflix August 4th.

Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 Synopsis

Season 3 picks up in the wake of Zarkon’s defeat and Shiro’s disappearance, as the paladins struggle to move forward with no one able to pilot the black lion or the ability to form Voltron. The team must quickly devise a plan as the ascension of Prince Lotor and his generals pulls the team into a perilous game of cat-and-mouse that tests their unity and abilities more than ever before

Danger & Eggs Amazon Prime Video TOMORROW, Friday, June 30

June 29, 2017 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Danger & Eggs, will debut on Prime Video TOMORROW, Friday, June 30.

danger and eggs

Amazon is rocking the kids programming. My kids adore watching Annedroids. So it will be interesting to see if Danger & Eggs, is any good.

Danger & Eggs, Amazon Studios’ first animated comedy for children ages 6-11, follows the endless adventures of a fearless, teal-haired girl named D.D. Danger (Aidy Bryant) and her ever cautious best friend, a giant talking egg named Phillip (Eric Knobel). As the daughter of world-renowned stunt daredevil, Roy Danger, D.D. is following in his footsteps and is always chasing her next big thrill. Luckily for her, Phillip is always there by her side with jerry-rigged safety mechanisms to make her thrill-seeking dreams come true. Together, they go in search of new adventures at their favorite spot, Chicken Paw Park, which is home to Philip’s mom Becky, a gargantuan chicken. The first season finds D.D. and Phillip meeting a raccoon with a thirst for technology, being sucked into a mysterious underground science lab, discovering a lonely robot in an overgrown garden, and taking on a famous zip line. Throughout their journey, they overcome obstacles with the “Buddy System” because even though they are polar opposites, their differences complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses to solve problems. Their Buddy System mantra says it all, “You look out for me and I’ll look out for you!”

Featuring the voice talent of comedians Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) as D.D. Danger and Eric Knobel (Huge Theater) as Phillip, the series will also include guest star voice talent from Weird Al (Milo Murphy’s Law), Lori Petty (Tank Girl), Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up), Kate Micucci (Garfunkle and Oates), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim), Jasika Nicole (Fringe), Felicia Day (Geek and Sundry), Jonah Ray (Nerdist, Mystery Science Theater), Angelica Ross (Her Story), and Jazz Jennings (I Am Jazz). Danger & Eggs is created by Mike Owens (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Animaniacs) and Shadi Petosky (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Mad) and executive produced by Owens, Petosky, and Chris Hardwick (Talking Dead, @midnight).

All About Season 20 Of The Bachelor #ABCTVEvent #TheBachelor

January 4, 2016 by Momstart Leave a Comment

15 years ago a reality TV show called the Bachelor began. 15 years ago I was 20 and watching the show with my dad. I’m pretty sure I saw the first three or four seasons when I was home from college on break. Then I didn’t really have time to watch it anymore and never really got back into it. But I know a lot of people that still LOVE to watch it and this year is supposed to be quite interesting. How do I know? I had the chance to sit down with the show’s host Chris Harrison and he gave me a beautiful rose and sat down for a long interview. I’m going to share a few of the highlights.

Who will get a rose? Tune in tonight 8 PM ET on #abctvevent #thebachelor

A photo posted by Louise Bishop (@momstart) on Jan 4, 2016 at 10:17am PST

Tune in tonight, January 4 at 8pm ET on ABC to join in season 20 from the beginning and meet The Bachelor Ben Higgins. Ben was on last season’s The Bachelorette and confessed that he felt “unlovable” and he was not picked. Well he’s decided he’s ready to give love another chance and is this season’s bachelor handing out roses. Chris shared why they decided to go with Ben……..

Chris:

Ben was an easy choice for us. It’s always nice when you have options and we did options this season. But it was a bit of a no-brainer. It’s nice when you have something that’s such an easy choice. You as the Bachelor Nation, if you watch the show, made that choice for us and we were all kind of 100% in. He’s just such a genuine, sweet, humble, good guy but as you see, he also has something that as a producer, is nice because there is that fragility and there’s that vulnerable side to him where he does have some issues to deal with and some things to get over. And I know, it’s hard to believe with a guy that looks like that, has issues.

I think we hit a home run with this guy. It’s a great season, he’s a good guy, the women are fantastic. When you have a guy that is a catch like Ben, obviously the level of interest and the level of competition brings us along so from night one it was on. When the women came in and saw what they were after, it was on. It’s a very interesting season. To go through with Ben, you’ve heard the idea of him having trouble believing that he can be loved, and finding love, it’s an arcing theme you’ll see throughout the season that he kind of deals with.

Chris said the girls that were picked are lively and there is even a set of twins oh my. How can a man choose between twins and will one of them try to backstab the other. Oh the drama. Chris said his favorite “drama date moment” was when Kelsey and Ashley were in the badlands and one was left in the desert.

image

Chris said that one of the reasons this show is so successful is that the raw emotion of people comes out on TV. The real person comes out and can’t be hidden.

Chis:

There’s a point in the season when everybody just gets gutted. There is that bottom that you reach. Everybody has a different bottom when you go through something like that and inevitably, every Bachelor and Bachelorette gets kind of strung out, and that’s one of the great things about how we produce this show and this process that people probably outside the show don’t understand. It really does strip you down naked and then you kind of start new, and you start to build.

You can’t fake your way through this. Whether you’re one of the 25 or the guy or girl himself, you can’t fake your way through it, you just can’t. The first, maybe the second night. But you will be found out. Eventually you show up, your real self and that is kind of the duty of this show. We yell at our TV screens and oh my God, why, get rid of that person. Don’t you see what’s going on? First of all, they don’t. They don’t get to see everything we do. But eventually they do get found out. You get shown for who you are. Kudos to the producers and the process that we created that kind of exposes that.

If you haven’t seen the show in a while you should probably give it another chance. The show has changed it had to change because social media has changed. There wasn’t social media 20 years ago, there wasn’t a blog space and we communicate with each other differently. It’s a lot harder now to keep a secret because of how we share information. And this season has 24 hours of programming when season one only had 6. It’s going to be really interesting this year and I recommend that you give it a chance.

Chatting With Black-ish Star Tracee Ellis Ross #ABCTVEvent #Blackish

December 2, 2015 by Momstart 1 Comment

If you aren’t watching Black-ish then why not for goodness sake. Black-ish is a comedy on ABC with an amazing and very talented cast. Even the children are talented and very professional. Tracee Ellis Ross said that the children on the set of Black-ish are such a joy to work with. They are always happy to be there and they give her hugs and just make her day even brighter as she’s working. Tracee Ellis Ross plays Rainbow Johnson on Black-ish. She is the daughter of Diana Ross and she is such a lovely lady. I was able to follow her around the set of Black-ish where she shared with us about the kids and her favorite episodes and how her day goes.

So where to start…

How about sharing her favorite episodes from the show:

  • “Churched” — She said that the direction was great and again, she loved the moments between the kids
  • “Jacked o’ Lantern” — She said the kids were magical when they attacked their cousins she couldn’t stop laughing
  • “The Word” — She said the writing and subject was handled well and they were able to make it funny by introducing it through Jack

In addition to how much she loves working with the kids she mentioned how well they treat the kids. The kids are only allowed to work certain hours and it depends on their age. They are super smart she said, they constantly make her laugh there are lots of giggles and videos happening between takes. They can only work at night on Friday nights and only until 10. One thing she mentioned about Miles Brown is that he has a hard time always focusing. (my son is the same way when he’s on set, it’s the age thing and being a boy I think). She remembered that he likes Baseball so she talked to him and said it’s like how you have to pay attention in the game to who has the ball. Now whenever his mind starts to wander she says “Who Has the Ball” and he’s able to get back in the moment. I really like how she was able to do that to help him.

On the tour while we were in the kitchen she showed us that she likes to hide her scripts on set. She said she can’t ever remember her lines so in between takes she’ll grab her script and then throw it in the closet drawer. She went around the kitchen and I think there was a script in every drawer. I love seeing actors that are so down to earth and honest. They are just people and not as perfect as we portray them to be. And that honesty makes her even more amazing!

Watch Tracee Ellis Ross in black-ish on Wednesdays at 9:30/8:30c on ABC. Tonight’s (12/2) episode is called “Man at Work.”

Dre has always looked out for the crew he grew up with, but when his childhood friend Sha (guest star Faizon Love) comes to stay at the house for a few days, Bow thinks he is taking advantage of Dre’s generosity. Meanwhile, Daphne Lido (played by Wanda Sykes), the now ex-wife of Stevens & Lido’s founding partner, gains control of half of the company and wants to start inserting herself in company business. When Daphne starts to question Charlie’s work ethic, Dre must decide who he remains loyal to.

Organo Gold Sponsors Manny Pacquiao For The Fight of The Century #MayPac

May 1, 2015 by Beeb 1 Comment

Manny Pacquiao

Samples provided.

Tomorrow night, boxing fans will be glued to their TV sets watching the anticipated matchup between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which is being dubbed “The fight of the century”. I follow MMA more closely than boxing, but this fight is so hyped that even casual viewers like me are eager to see what will happen.

There’s been a lot of coverage of the huge ticket prices and sponsorships during this bout, and one of the logos you’ll be seeing Manny Pacquiao sporting at tomorrow’s weigh-in is Organo Gold coffee – their Gourmet Café Latte is said to be his favorite “Sports drink”, which sounds like my kind of workout beverage! If you’re rooting for Pacquiao tomorrow night (As I am) and you like coffee, you can buy a special OG Promo Pack through May 10th for a chance to win autographed “Pacman” swag. They also have a recipe on their blog for fight night cookies that you can make to snack on during the match!

Who do you think will win tomorrow’s Mayweather vs. Pacquiao matchup?
