Glaceau Fruitwater samples were provided for this review and boy oh boy am I glad that they were! All opinions are my own, but I was really in the market for a low cal alternative to soda.
I know I’m supposed to drink water… and I do, but sometimes I just want a refreshing, bubbly, TASTY drink . Don’t we all? I used to drink a lot of soda and I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the occasional syrup flavored carbon goodness, but I’m trying to be good. I’m a breastfeeding mom to my little 2 month old and I want to make sure that I keep relatively good stuff in my body. I also avoid caffeine, excessive sugar and I’m really working to get to pre baby #1 weight. Whew! I feel crazy just saying I’m even thinking about trying to do all that! Well, I am, and in order to do it all I need to make healthy choices, including healthy choices about what I’m drinking. I’ve tried making my own sparkling water and fruit juice combos, but they just haven’t been working for me. When I had the chance to try Glaceau Fruitwater, I knew I had to go for it. A zero calorie, tasty, water based beverage that even has some added vitamins? Yes, please!
So what exactly is “Glaceau Fruitwater”? It is a naturally flavored carbonated water drink. While it does not actually contain any real fruit juice, Fruitwater does have added vitamins making this a treat with some nice added value. In fact each bottle has 20 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamins b5 and b6, magnesium, and zinc. These are zero calorie drinks sweetened with sucralose. There are even 50 milligrams of green tea extract per bottle. Green tea is used by some to improve mental alertness and thinking… No wonder I’ve been loving this stuff! I usually try to avoid artificial sweeteners, but with so many other perks I really feel like a daily Fruitwater is a-okay.
Fruitwater comes in five refreshingly fizzy flavors: watermelon punch, orange mango, lemon lime, strawberry kiwi, and black raspberry. Black raspberry is definitely my favorite. It has a yummy berry flavor with just the right amount of fizz. I have no problem using Fruitwater to satisfy my soda cravings… and help me get back to my pre-babies self!
