Give Your Dog The Star Treatment With Petco! #PetcoGrooming #MM

July 7, 2016 by Beeb 10 Comments

Bob ready to go to the groomer

This blog post is part of a paid Megan Media and Petco Grooming blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own. #PetcoGrooming #MM

When you look good, you feel good – and vice versa! I’m about to take off on a busy two weeks of traveling to Los Angeles and New York City, so I booked a hair and facial this week in anticipation of my trips. But I’m not just talking about Hollywood glamour here: self-care is important for health and well-being. And since our furry friends can’t book a spa appointment themselves, it’s up to us to take care of them, which is why I also booked a haircut and facial for Bob, the family dog!

It’s important to our family that Bob be well cared for and stay his most handsome self, so I wanted to get him in for an appointment before my busy trip. Luckily for me, Petco Grooming accepts both call-ahead appointments as well as walk-ins for á la carte services, so I was able to easily squeeze in an appointment before jetting off to Beverly Hills. Since they were open on July 4th, I was able to head in that day to give Bob the star-spangled treatment!

Bob loves riding in the car, and he was so excited to drive down to Petco!

Pulling into Petco

As soon as we arrived, Bob was eager to make friends with all the other people and dogs at Petco. The kind grooming staff were all attentive and friendly, and we were introduced to Bob’s stylist, Katniss, who has the best name ever!

Bob gets groomed

Petco Certified Stylists are all extensively trained and start off the appointment with a 7-Point Pet Care Check, where they examine your pet’s eyes, teeth, nose, ears, skin, coat, under-side, nails, and pads. Katniss asked us detailed questions about Bob’s health and personality to make sure he got exactly what he needed. We chose a full hair trimming plus a spa package for Bob that included:

  • Blueberry facial
  • Nail buffing
  • Teeth cleaning

After Bob went in for his afternoon of pampering, Katniss gave me a time estimate and let me know when she’d be calling with an update. Right on time, she called and let me know that she was going to spend some extra time on Bob because she wanted to carefully work through all his long, luscious hair and make him look like a million bucks, which I so appreciated. And once he was done, Bob was ready for his close-up!

What a handsome boy! Bob was happy, relaxed and looked like a star. And we felt like stars too, because Petco even gave us a thoughtful gift to welcome us to their state-of-the-art grooming facilities!

Petco goodies!

Petco Grooming offers stress-free grooming at over 1,200 locations, so you can get your own furry friend pampered with a bath, haircut and spa treatments customized to them! The Petco Certified Stylists we met really care for and love animals – Bob got attention and pets from everyone in the store, and was so well cared for. So why not follow my lead and book a matching spa day for yourself and your dog? You will both thank me, I promise!

Smiling Bob

Give a Dog a Bone With Petco Repeat Delivery! #PetcoDelivers

April 26, 2016 by Beeb 143 Comments

Bob enjoying a bone

This blog post is part of a paid Megan Media and Petco Repeat Delivery blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.

I love ordering things online because it saves me so much time running to the store. My grandma feels the same way, and tries to buy in bulk to reduce the number of store trips she has to make. In fact, the last time she bought bones for the family dog, Bob, she loaded her cart up with a bunch of them and said that the checker gave her a funny look for buying so many all at once! But who wants to run to the store constantly? Grammy is still very active at 86 year old, but driving all over town and lugging heavy bags around is not the easiest thing for her to do. And with as busy as I am with work and travel, I also try to stock up at the store for both of us when I can.

That’s why we are loving Petco Repeat Delivery, a brand new service we discovered that allows you to automatically re-order your favorites from Petco and have them delivered straight to your door. It’s simple: Just visit the Repeat Delivery page and browse the selection to find what you need. Select how often you’ll need to reorder your item – products can be delivered as often as every two weeks, or as far out as once every 12 months – then place your order, sit back, and let Petco take care of the rest! And even better, you can save up to 20% off on select items just for using Petco repeat delivery. Grammy spends a fair amount of money caring for Bob, so whenever we can cut costs on his necessities, we definitely take advantage!

Since Bob goes through so many bones each month, we both figured this was the perfect time to set up a recurring order so that Grammy wouldn’t have to keep running to the store (and getting those funny looks from the cashiers). I opened up my laptop, clicked through the selection of dog treats on the Petco Repeat Delivery page and found a good selection of bones to choose from. Grammy helped me cherry pick Bob’s favorites, from ham bones to a 2lb “Mammoth” bone – that ought to keep him busy for a while! 😉

Once I had what I wanted, I went through the checkout and my order was on its way. Quick, easy, and done – no store trip required. As a bonus, since this was my first Repeat Delivery order over $39, I received a $30 eGift Card that I can put towards my next order. eGift Cards can be applied to shipping and tax (if applicable to your state), so this will come in super handy next month. Money and time saved!

The order arrived quickly, and Bob was so excited! He even helped us open the box in record time.

Gimme!!

Bob opens the box

Bob tears into the box

Once he had torn the box open, Bob was anxious to see what was inside!

FOR ME?!?!

We laid the bones out on the floor and let Bob choose one to taste test. It was a tough choice, but he eventually settled on a delectable Wild Boar dog bone. Mmmmm!

Yummy!
Lip-licking good!

If you have a furbaby and are tired of pushing shopping carts full of bones around, then I’d recommend checking out Petco Repeat Delivery to make life easier! First time Repeat Delivery customers will receive a $30 eGift Card on their $39+ purchase through May 21st, and eGift Cards are applicable to most things – excluding donations, backorders, or the purchase of other gift cards – so it’s the perfect time to cross one more thing off your list. I know Bob is certainly happy that we did!

Happy to have his bones!
“Thanks for buying me my favorite bones!”

How we came out

October 14, 2008 by Momstart 2 Comments

Ok so we did a lot of shopping today.

We got Zoe and Miles five Christmas presents and saved 10 dollars with coupons and sale items.

We got groceries at Albertsons, including five bags of dog treats (that were too expensive to be FREE at Petco)

at Albertsons we saved 50 dollars – 32.00 were from coupons the rest were instore coupons or sale. But we only spent 46 dollars for necessities. I had some really great coupons this week. I had five free treat coupons, 2 free milk coupons, 1 free sour cream coupon, and we collected more coupons while walking around the store.

At Petco we bought the dog food we needed. We have found that if you spend a little more on dog food the BAD DOG gas goes away. So I wrote to Eukenuba and asked for coupons and they sent me three 3 dollar off coupons.

So overall today we saved

90.00 WOW. I love coupons Now. At first I didn’t think it was worth the trouble, but now I do.

I’m going to have another coupon giveaway tomorrow. Be sure to check back.
